Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

[ Edited ]

Laugh for the Day:

A girl actually walked all the way across the room to put her stuff behind me and crowd my space.  Really?  They have cubbyholes ten feet from where she is.  I personally would never leave my bag across the room at a stranger's feet just for pure security reasons.  Maybe I should have rifled through.

The teachers announced they are moving our 5:45am classes to 5:30am  Great.  So we can overcrowd the room even more.  I don't get it.  It's not like we are hurting for attendance.  At some point, you can only accommodate so many.

Hopefully the new Bodyplex takes some people away.  If this wasn't free, I'd be moving on.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Morning, it's so mild here, we are over 65 right now!   I'll take it while I can

Laura, that is so strange, I wouldn't like it either, and would not leave my bag far from my space.   Not how you want to start your day being irritated  LOL....hope the rest of the day goes good for you!

foxxie did you make apple crisp?  I did not hahah, wanted to though.  I agree, sometimes I have to step away from the media, it can take over your mind and it gives more kooks ideas!

I'm heading out to walk shortly, it's light out now.   Been awake since 4:30, just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep.

Will be raking more pine needles again, it's non ending.  Sometimes I wonder why I'm doing it when hours later it looks filled up again.  But it gets me out and moving so what the heck, right?

Have a blessed day!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Great morning to everybody.  Cloudy day and there is supposed to be rain on the way.  Hope so because we need it.

Lol, @bopper no I didn't make the apple crisp probably because I didn't have the apples for it.  I have a couple of Honey Crisp apples on hand, the best apples eaten fresh in the world, imo.

@Laura14, I hate when someone's stuff such as their purse is near me and they are farther from it than I am.  How many times have people thought they had more money than they do or something.  The first think you do is mentally back track where your purse was.  Then you come up with who might have taken what you think is missing.  I remember back in 1990 when I first started working for the board of education in a classroom as an instructional assistant with this rather mean teacher.  She always kept her purse on top of the desk.  At some point in the day her purse came up missing. During her rants about who might have taken it she said, "I've been leaving my purse on my desk for years and now this happens.  What's different"?  I was different.  She'd never had an assistant before.  I don't remember how it came to be but her purse was found in her car with her money missing.  It was determined that the janitor probably did it.  I was so hurt.  She didn't specifically say she thought I did it but it was implied.

That's always been a very sore point for me....to be accused of something I didn't do but especially stealing.  There's a poster here on QVC that accused me of stealing her soap opera spoilers???  We had words about it but I haven't posted with her since.  This was about three years ago.  Nobody on here owns 'spoilers'.  You read them all over the net and you can pass them on.  She didn't create or have a copy right on them.

Ok, rant over, lol.  Pedicure day, gas fill up and then a little grocery shopping.  Have a great day everyone.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!

@Mmsfoxxie, wow, that is some story about the purse.  To think, that could have all been avoided by her putting her purse IN her desk (which is where mine is at work).  Even more unbelievable is the story about the spoilers.  I have taken a break from a soap opera thread because of a certain poster.  I don't post much on it any more because of it.

Yesterday was my small group--we did A LOT of rowing, which is exhausting.  It is a good full body workout though.  I was over it by the time we finished.  Today is restorative yoga and I will miss Zumba tomorrow because I will be at one of our plants for their annual safety audit.

The weather has been quite cool this week, but we are supposed to be in the 70s for the next few days.  Monday, we may get our first official snow in Denver.  NOT looking forward to that.

Have a good day, everyone!

@Mmsfoxxie  WOW!  That's when my Sicilian DNA would have come out and they would have discovered her body under the playground tires.  And this woman teaches kids?  Nice!

@DrKelli  Snow?  I still can't break out my fall boots.  Send some cold weather east please!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

@Laura14, the area that I grew up in, just west of Denver, had almost 20" of snow on Sunday night.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hey all, it's a gorgeous Wednesday here, I"ve been grocerys shopping and am back home, I don't stray when I'm on a mission either, get what I went for and head home.  Traffic is terrible, construction everywhere.  It's so dewy here the grass is soaked, hence the humidity.

Dr.Kelli my son said it was very cold there, he's in Arvada and said it was 37 there yesterday morning.  Funny because we were almost 80 yesterday so I think we flip flopped.  I still have to get out there to meet my new grandson, just not sure when .  I hate boarding my dog, it bothers me so much I get almost sick over it.

foxxie the purse story, my goodness that is terrible.   If people weren't careless things like that wouldn't happen and to insunuate you had something to do with it, that grinds my gears.  My purse is always in my site!  Even in the grocery store , its in the seat part of the cart but I always have 1 hand through the handle.  You just never know.  Speaking of grocery store, Walmart ugggggggggg  1 checkout open again and its the 20 items or less and all the other checkouts are self serve.  I do NOT want to check my own things when I have over 20 items, the girl said they may be going to all self serve and I told her I won't be going there then, she said to call and talk to a manager and said many people have expressed that.

Laura I hope your day goes better today, nobody crowding your space.  When does that new place you mentioned open?

Lucy keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and hoping little Lucy will be okay with her leg.  We do anything we have to to take care of them.

The leaves will most likely be peak or near peak this weekend, I really want to get out and take a ride to see the color and some waterfalls.

Better get my walk in, have a wonderful day!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

@DrKelli  20"!!  I love the four seasons but 20" of the stuff at one time, um, NO.

@bopper  I think it said it was supposed to open this month.  I find it fascinating that, as far as I can tell, there has been zero advertising for it.  No mailers or anything.  Not even a sign on the building to call and join now.  I think when I googled them they had a pre-opening special.  Amazing how companies miss the mark on being successful.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

[ Edited ]

Happy...Thursday, I had to think about it..lol. My tummy is a little off so I haven't been out yet, which gives me some extra time this morning. Got the laundry going though.

Where is everyone? MickD, Judy, nomless, Mssfoxxie...I don't like not seeing the regulars here even if I haven't been...lol.  Please check-in to say you're okay.

Dr.Kelli, by my gf in Montana is 20* this morning with 13* windchill...they still have snow on the ground too but they are always cold by now. We had a frost Saturday night, Sunday morning was beautiful, I loved it! But we've warmed up again...ugh.

Lucy isn't much better so her vet put in a referral for the Ortho specialist at a er vet/specialist hospital over an hour away.  They can't get her in until the 16th but if she gets worse, take her to there ER and they'll take her in faster that way. That may be why my tummy is upset. That and I've been burning the candle at both ends...up very early every single day, go all day, this house is a full-time job. I see why people who are building say "never again".  Unless they're just letting the builder use whatever they want/have.  Appliances get delivered today...hate waiting around for that stuff.

I even had to cancel my bible study yesterday morning to meet contractors at the house...then ran to 2 Lowe's and 1 Home Depot...over 100 miles a day on my van. Going through gas like crazy.

Today is one of my favorite classes, I'll also do a power-walk here in a bit. Yesterday I did a Bootcamp and yoga...I know, weird combo. I had 52,000 steps one day but we did a long hike.  I need to hit the farm after class for food, then have a doc appt too, then to house which will be a full day.

My dil is in D.C. for a big 3-day conference...she was chosen as the rep from her company for "Up and Coming Talent".  They promoted her to a new job but didn't take away her old job yet so she's doing 2 full-time jobs...she finally had to stop coaching soccer last week, just couldn't work 80+ hours on top of everything else, she was exhausted. She'll still sub and help out with some tournaments and such...like this weekend's tournament in D.C. since she's already there for the conference.

Okay, washer stopped, waving to bopper(thanks for asking about Lucy. So glad Mr.bopper is doing well), DrKelli, Laura, and those MIA I mentioned above.Smiley LOL

ETA: I wonder how many spelling mistakes I make when I post without editing...ay.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  Again, rain was in the forecast but my house didn't get any.  At the nail shop and the grocery store yesterday, there was drizzling but not here.

I've been here @Iluvlucy, except Sunday or Monday when I forgot.  Sorry Lucy is still down.  And your stomach.  I have issues sometimes myself but probably the opposite of your stomach, lol.

Ladies about the stolen purse incident...that was in 1990 and that retired about ten years ago and I retired two years ago.  She hadn't known me but about a month when that happened.  Would you believe we have done line dancing together through the years, lol?  My hubby and I were just at her house for a Labor Day picnic.  One thing I've found out about people in stressful jobs is that they are totally different off the job.

I'm gonna try to make that early Zumba class this morning and maybe the class after that if that good sub is there.  The one subbing for the instructor that does the Frank Sinatra, go to sleep music, lol.  The sub does music that makes you want to move.

Enjoy your day everyone.
