Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hi I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaack!   Smiley Happy

Everything was absolutely magical!  Elegant beyond my expectations!   My flights were alright too.  Hubby and DS said I did great.  Can't say I loved it by any means but I sure stepped out of the comfort zone.    Got in late last night!  Today I"m still tired but doing laundry and also came home to find my sisters telling me dad had more episodes and fell down the basement stairs.  He's not bruised or anything broken though.  He couldn't find the light switch to go down and slipped.  We're dealing with it now and I've talked to him and he sounds fine now but it's scary.  Then Logan seems sick, called the vet and waiting for them to call me back.  The kennel I boarded him at was very good but he didn't eat worth a darn.  Almost the entire container of food I sent is still full.  I think he was so stressed and lonely there.   I messaged the kennel 2x while gone to check on him and she said he wasn't eating.  She asked if he could have a TB of canned food just to see if he'd eat.  I told her he was only used to his dry food and he gets no scraps but I did tell her 1 TB is all I wanted her to give him.  But anyways he has bad diarrhea and he went several places in our basement.  He NEVER does that so I know it's him not feeling good.   I brought in a sample to the vet to be sure he doesn't have any type of bacteria going on.  He is sleeping now.  I did get him to eat his entire breakfast though by mixing in the yolk of an egg and I have chicken and rice I"m giving him tonight.

Sounds like everyone is doing well and keeping up with the workouts and nomless job is going alright!

My dad's new sheets came while I was gone, I felt them and they feel really nice.  I'm wrapping them up for his Christmas present/BD present .   Do they shed, does anyone know?

It's 70 here!  Unbelievable!  I'll take it!

Have a great rest of the day and thank you all for keeping us rocking and rolling!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Congrats on the new job Nomless!  We knew you'd get it!

I will not go into the month I've had.....oh brother....  The only thing going for me are the Cubbies and 'Bama.  I DVR'd the Cubby parade- wow what a blast!  Ordered $400 in shirts for the family - woohoo!

Haven't exercised in a month.  2.5mi/36.5 min on the treadmill....snail's pace but it was great getting moving again!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Mick, I ordered Cubs gear, too. Their win is still making me smile. I saw much of the ESPN coverage of the parade (started watching at 9 am), but I didn't see anything after Rickets. I saw a vid of Bryant talking about Ross later in the day.

Bopper, welcome home. I'm very so glad all went well....except for Logan. I hope he starts feeling better now that he's back home. We're you happy with your dress and jewelry? I'm sure you looked wonderful.

Foxxie, I'm sorry you needed to go to a funeral....and was tempted by lots of food. Your back on track now, though.

Another day done at work. No complaints at all....except I'm again so tired. Back hurts abit and legs sure are tired. I know in the long run all the movement will be good for me, so I'm not complaining. I chitcatted a bit with some others...and solved a computer problem for them, lol. The display on one computer suddenly turned upside down for unknown reasons. I went to another computer and googled the solution. Tomorrow, my lib is a polling place, so it will be crazy, and there's not a lot of parking so that will potentially be a problem. Oh, well, it's only one day.

No workout today....I know I need to do cardio, too, but am too wiped out to attempt it.

Bopper, about the sheets....mine shed a bit better during the first washing, but after that, no shedding. My fleece sheets shed, but the Berkshire sheets do not.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hello, everyone.  Welcome back @bopper.  Nice to meet you.

Yes, I am back on track with my eating but it took two days instead of one, lol.  I took another yoga class today, gentle yoga it was called.  I didn't feel great by the end of the session just like last week and I had taken Dramamine in preparation for it.  So I'm done with yoga.  Fourth try, fourth bout of nausea...although less.  Everything is not meant for everybody.  I have a flexibility class that I take and I feel good in it.  So today I did the yoga class and then flexibility.  I only took them back to back because that was how it was scheduled by the fitness center.

I hope everyone is having a good week.  The weather is still beautiful.  Be positive and enjoy every minute.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Morning, it's in the lower 30's out but the sun will be out today also.  Heading to the grocery store as haven't gotten anything since I have gotten home.  Still dealing with my dad and Logan, so I'm haven't gotten much in other than a few miles of walking.  Could use some prayers for my father please if you all wouldn't mind..it's a lot to process and I know you are all my friends here and friends help one another so I felt okay asking you.

Have a good day everyone, and be kind to one another it means a great deal to people to treat them with kindness and to tell them how much you appreciate them.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Bopper, I'm sorry your dad and Logan are still having trouble .  Prayers for them and you, too. Hang in there.

Foxxie, I wonder why yoga makes you feel bad. It sounds like the flexibility class is a good alternative.

How ya doin', Laura?

I was up late so I'm glad today is a day off.  I've been reading and relaxing. I thought about doing some cardio, but my hips are a bit sore, so I decided rest is in order.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

@bopper - Prayers are being sent to your dear dad!

It is 91 in the shade here.....way too hot.  Did 2.5 mi./35.5 min. on the treadmill.....had to blow off some steam and listen to happy music!

I am going to try and make zucchini "pasta" tonight.....I just have a mandolin slicer ....so will see how that goes.  Will also make homemade turkey meatballs......my son needs to cut the carbs a little.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Good Morning, it's nice here this morning, mid 40's and the sun is coming out.  I think I should take advantage of it and walk outside after I do my TG.

Thank you for the prayers for my dad...Today is a new day so I'll take it!

We have had a beautiful fall for the most part.  Logan seems to be getting better I think.  He was so stressed out being in the kennel.  He does have a grooming appt on Friday and he won't like that either but he won't be there all that long.

Have a great day everyone!

@bopper, sending prayers up for your father that his situation has a good outcome.

Hope everyone is doing ok today.

Well I'd say walking a few miles is great!  I did 2 and 1/2 and called it a day.  I was supposed to do a weight training class but it wasn't to start for another hour.  Good excuse, right, lol.
