Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Morning all and Happy Mother's Day to everyone, kid moms and Pet moms!

Yesterday I forgot to post, it was my Birthday!!!  Yes 1 year "Younger"   Hahahha...did yard work and went to dinner...watched the Derby, Love watching the beautiful horses.

Today we are heading to dads to make him breakfast, then to the Craft show and not sure what else..maybe just chilling at home.  Sun is out but it's cold, and not warming up much.  43 outside.

I have never done jazzercise either but had a friend who really liked it.

Judy enjoy walking the street fair, sounds fun and baggy butt is a good thing!  Hahah

Nomless hope your day is wonderful too and you can get outside...

Glad we are not getting rain, seems many are under the clouds.

Enjoy the day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Happy Birthday @bopper and Happy Mother's Days to everyone who celebrated yesterday.  Heart

I made my pound class on Friday and then did some stepping on Saturday and hit over 10,000 on my Fitbit.  Sunday I did my hike which puts me over 20,000 and this morning I did every bit of Ride class with every bit of choreography.  Woo hoo!

Hope everyone is off to a great start to their week.  Happy Monday!   Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Laura, look at you go, girl!  Your back must be feeling better....I hope it's not giving you too much trouble.

I did a  cardio session today, no weights.  I read am article today that LISS ( light intensity steady state, I think) workouts are just fine, so that's what I did today since I did longer workouts over the weekend.

Hi to all. Have a good week!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hi all, sunny day here today but it is cold, and I even heard the "S" word tonight for Thursday and Friday.  We don't have leaves here yet, and no planting or plants at all yet.  Bird bath was frozen this morning, it was 29 here.

I walked the Cemetery in town today as I had stuff to do so it's nice and peaceful there, lots of ponds with geese and baby geese, turtles, benches to sit..  It really is a nice place with no traffic.  3 times around is 3 miles so I did 3 there and another 2 at home.

Nomless I like that philosophy with the LISS, I can do that!  I have neglected my weights since dad had his problems and have to get back to it.

The Voice tonight and baseball, so will be flipping back and forth.

Enjoy your evening!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

@nomless  Aside from some night time aggravation which may wake me up here and there, my back is doing 1000% better than it was.  I do not do any of the twisting moves in Pound and I have completely dropped my Power class in favor of the BodyGym so I think every little bit is helping.  I have also stopped the patches and medication rub so it's just me and being careful and so far so good.  The only thing I do now for it is sit on my Backjoy all day at work.

Rest day for me although I'm still doing my pushups and dancing in the mornings while I have the house to myself.  I also have been neglecting my Body Gym for the past few days so I may get back to that tonight too while I catch up on my DVR stuff.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Good morning!  Got up this morning and did an ab workout and a short cardio workout.  Since I also have been neglecting my upper body workouts, I think I will do some BG work when I get home today.

Have a doctor and a dentist appt this afternoon so while I'll be leaving work early, it's not for anything fun!

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!  Sounds like the BG is being used, mine is too.  I do like it a lot..

Laura your back is doing better, that is wonderful news...You know what you have to do to keep it that way too which is half the battle, I have to becareful too with my back and my neck..Just being able to sleep is huge!  Keep up the great work.

Judy good luck today at the dr.   I hate going and my BP is always high in there and they say " I have high BP" and I say  "  I have white coat hypertension" which is true!

Lets all do our BG's together tonight..

It's in the 60's here and it feels so nice, it's windy though but I walked 3 miles outside and then did the trail.  40's for the remainder of the week so this is a break for us and a nice one.

I almost bought the sheets today, I have 1 set of summer sheets and those are the reversable Home Reflections sheets and they are very nice, I may still get another set..

Be well everyone!

Laura, it's awesome you figured out steps to take to ease your back.  It's great you can sleep again, for the most part.

Judy, doctor and dentist in one day?  Oh, my.  I wouldn't be able to handle that.  Lol. Tomorrow you'll be happy that both are done.

Bopper, if you get the sheets, I hope you like them. I wish I could find really great percale sheets like we had when I was a kid.  I have some from Vermont Country Store that are OK, but I don't think any of the percale are like they used to be.

Cardio done.  And I have a doctor story, too.  I made an appt months ago for 2 weeks from today, early in am so I wouldn't be very late for work. Today, I get a call that doc will be out of office that day so I have to reschedule.  Now the appt. is next week later in the morning.   Dang.  Now I'll be 2 1/2 hours or so late for work, and I have only one week to do what I can to ensure that blood levels are good and that I meet my weight goal of weighing less than I did last year.  So this week, lots of cardio and weights, I hope, and no treats to eat!  Dang.  It's no big real, really, but still, they messed up my plan!  Oh, well.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Oh, one more thing....one of my favorite shows is on tonight as a one-episode special - Battebots!  Is anyone else a fan? People build remote-controlled robots that battle each other.  I think it's so interesting to so what the builders come up with.  The show comes back next month as a 10-episode series.  It was last on last summer. I can't wait. Tonight's show is 9 PM Central on ABC I think if anyone is interested in checking it out.
