Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hello everyone!  Yesterday it was raining so I did some mall walking and stair climbs.  At home I did a half hour of Margaret Richard.  I had to bale on the hamstrings section - so sore!

I saw that article on the Biggest Loser folks regaining their weight. I used to watch BL when it was newer but I began to cringe at how the contestants were forced from being couch potatoes into doing these marathon, high impact workout sessions.  I could almost hear their joints screaming.  I don't think I've watched it since the third season.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hi everyone, nothing to report, spending time with my dad.   But it's precious time and I don't regret any of it.

Raining here right now, but it's in the 50's.   Tomorrow I have a day off so will get groceries and get a workout in.

I was able to get my hair cut this afternoon too and that was relaxing.

Pilates I watch BL too and the show has changed a lot I think, but I do like it.  I didn't know about the contestents gaining their weight back..I'm sure it happens..

Time to prepare dinner, have a nice evening everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hump Day!  YEA!!!  Well I'm back on the wagon again.  Took me a week but I eventually climbed back on.  Did a 40 minute ab/cardio workout this morning.  I have learned tho that I can't stay up late - which I did again last night watching a show on PBS - and when the alarm goes off, I MUST not lay back down, I have to get up or else I won't get up at all!  LOL

Work is already busy but wanted to check in and say hi and good morning and hope everyone has a great day!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Cardio and weights done today.

I finally got the results of my colonoscopy.  Thank goodness, it was normal.  No further procedures needed at this time.  Rec is to repeat in 5 years due to family history and to due it at the hospital next time because 2 of the 3 colonoscopies have failed and  ended up at the hospital anyway. I think they'll use a more serious anesthesia, which is a bit frightening, but necessary.  At least it's 5 years down the road.  Maybe there will be an alternate screening procedure by then.

Bopper, I hope your dad is doing OK.  Enjoy your time with him.  You're right to make him priority one right now.

I'm enjoying watching some of the crafts shows today.  I wish they'd do these on weekends.

Hi to Judy and Laura and Pilates and Lucy. Yes, Judy, sleep is important!

Ride class and BG this morning.  Still working on tricep pushups too.

Glad to hear about the great health results and also good workouts going on.  Smiley Happy

Is the weekend here yet?  I need a rest from Boss Satan and a good hike.

Have a great day everybody!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

I was just perusing the clearance items on QVC.  If anyone is interested in the Backjoy, it's cheaper now than what I got it for at BB&B even with the shipping fee.  I'm tempted to buy another one.

If you have any back issues or want great abs, I highly recommend it.  I sit on it every day at work and, in my personal opinion, between it and the BodyGym I have the flattest stomach of my life going on.  Took some getting used to, but I love it.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Morning everyone!  I'm with Laura - is it the weekend yet?!

Did a 45 minute TurboJam cardio workout this morning.  Looks like we're expecting some rain over the next few days - not a lot but some.  We'll take what we can get around here.

Not much else to report.  Looking forward to the weekend to relax and spend time with my DD.

Take care everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Greetings all!  Nomless, good to hear your colonoscopy turned out alright.  That was quite an ordeal you went through.

Laura I am chuckling over your Boss Satan. I had one of those for six years - it literally was hell.  L I hope you enjoy a good hike outdoors this weekend.

Oh, I am going to look at the Back Joy.  I have $$ on my Q Card from returning boots.

Judy we've been in a cold, dark and rainy pattern where I live. I am ready for a little spring weather.

Bopper - continued best wishes to you and your family.

Let's see, Tuesday I walked at the mall and did some stair climbs, then did yoga in the evening.  Yesterday I did some Barre3 in the breakroom, took a quick lunch walk and enjoyed a Kathy Smith Pilates workout at home. I'm headed out for a walk shortly and planning some more Barre3 in the breakroom later.

Be healthy and happy all!!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hi, sun is out here today and it's 50...went for a walk this morning along the road and then took Logan on the trail, which is still wet and muddy but it sure is nice being outside.

Dad is doing good, the dr. said he can be alone again with periodic checks so the daughters are trying now to go back to normal.   Still more checks than before though.  Thank you all for the well wishes.

I have to pick up my GD from school today and then tonight she is getting an award from the Board of Light and Power.  She won a contest for drawing all the uses of electricity from all the 4 th and 5 th graders here ( she's in 4th) she won 200$.  She already has an idea what she wants to do with it.  She is an HGTV addict!  LOL   At her age!

Glad everyone is doing workouts and enjoying your days!
