Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Women are guiltier than men of this too for some reason.

I ran some miles this morning and did squats and calf raises with 20-lb dumb-bells. We did a ton of lunges yesterday so wasn't doing those and probably didn't need the squats but my legs really weren't sore. Abs are super sore, making me feel sick they're so bad...ay. Upper a little sore so went with the squats.

Bad night again...tonight has to be better!

Waving to everyone.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Hi! It is hotter than H E double toothpicks.....105. Drank a ton of water and my gut felt like a water jug, but I did the treadmill 2.75mi./34 min. I am praying that my friend and her family won't have to bug-out as they live in San Marcos. I talked to her yesterday and told her that they could stay with me if need be. I am thankful that my foot is healing, and I can run, and that my 'hood isn't on fire....this weather is insane!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Yowza! I just learned that Paul Katami has a new 16-week workout program. A different set of DVDs each month. I want to find some reviews, but I think I want this. I love Katami.

Info here.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Happy Friday all,

I have to take a rest day as I threw my back out. It's not good girls, but I'll be fine but today would be pushing it.

It's snowing here MickD, in the 30's. What crazy weather all over the place, it's really kind of scary frankly how unusual all this is. We have no buds, no flowers, no leaves..we got nothing!

Nomless are you getting the new PK program? I wonder when collage will be open again.

Well better get my stuff out of the washer,,,carefully I must add {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Have a good day!

Bopper, ouch! I hope your back feels better soon.

Yes, no doubt I'll get the Katami program. I watched vid clips; as usual, he's done a good job. I'm sitting on my hands to keep from ordering it now. I really don't want to put any more on my cc this month.

Apparently, an infomercial about the program began running in January. I haven't seen it, but I'll keep watching for it.

Hi to all, have a great Friday. TFIG.

And a special wave to little Lucy, who always make me smile.

Speaking of furkids, did you see the vid of the cat saving a 4 year old from a vicious dog? How cool was that?! Good kitty!!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Hi! Did not workout today..too hot and air quality is not good due to smoke....and I am worn out! Hoping to get on a trail this weekend with my dogs.

Bopper ~ I cannot believe that it is snowing where you live.....unbelievable! It is 97, so cooling here....I hope your back gets better soon. Rest up!

Nomless ~ I saw the video of the fearless cat! That poor young boy. The 8 month old pitbull was euthanized....sad situation all around....except for that darn cat.

Wishing you all a happy safe and healthy weekend!

Mick, I knew they were thinking of putting the dog down, but did not realize it had been done. I also didn't know the age or breed of the dog. I agree....that part of the story is very sad.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Typically, I workout for at least an hour in the morning after I drop my kids off @ school. My oldest son joined the gym with me two days ago, so I've been going day/night. I was going to skip the gym today to give my body a little time off, but...

I went food shopping and had a 1/2 hr before my youngest son got home from school, so I drove to the gym and did 1/2 hr on the elliptical! I have been going everyday, and I didn't want to skip a day. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Happy Saturday everyone!

Dh is done...his going away luncheon was Thursday and awards ceremony was yesterday! He survived the Pentagon!{#emotions_dlg.laugh} He can't wait to get back to 'his' community but he met some great people here that he'll be friends with forever. He got a nice gift and his boss is coming over at 10 to give him a personal one.

I went for a 3-mile run yesterday, got a ton of cleaning in too so was sweating up a bead with that.

Trying to decide what to do this morning. We were 41* and not much warmer yet and I'm loving it!!! Think I'll do it all...some weights, a run, and a bike ride.

Hi mtnbikegirl! nomless, I hope you get your dvd's, you sound excited! bopper, I hope your back is better. MickD, I hope you guys get a break, I heard it's coming. We used to live out in Scripps Ranch and have some friends that live in San Diego...such a shame.

Okay, better get cracking! I think I'm going to a really nice outlet mall today, want to check-out MK's and a few other places. Usually not a huge outlet mall fan but everyone at the gym was saying this one is really nice, said the White House/Black Market usually has clothes that are still in the regular stores...might get my dil a nice handbag for her birthday.
