Morning...raining here again. I saw that Dr. Kelli...places in WY and CO could get over 18". They said there are still 8 states with over 2 feet of snow on the ground out west...and Maine.
You had a good day too Mssfoxxie. I don't like crowds either, kickboxing was packed yesterday. And Barre was hot...ugh.
Yes, bopper, for sure, I love doing it! It really cuts down on buying shoes...when I was doing it before, they'd send me a new pair every 6 weeks to run in. The bad part is, you wear them whether you like them or not...lol. But if they're horrible, you can send them back. I hope you guys find out soon! We know what the little one was we just lost. Glad you have O to help you out this week.
nomless...come back, come back. Did you hear Kate Winslett when you read that? ![]()
I'm sore from head to toe and even places like my forearms...I feel like I've been beaten up and I love it...lol! They even have PIYO...actual brand name. I loved it, much friendlier than this one here and it is HUGE!
My favorite was the Barre class(not while doing it...lol) and instructor....she's a tough cookie but funny, they warned me about her before class began. I asked her if it was possible to get a Charlie Horse in your abs and she didn't miss a beat with, "Yes, it is possible and that gets you 2 bonus points"....haha. We used the bands and my delts were so pumped and burning...from bands, I couldn't beleive it! Then the squats while you're standing on your tip-toes...we were in plie squat for over 3 minutes straight in 2 different sequences(songs)...all different kinds, pulsing, deep, lower, etc., and she wouldn't let you stand up. Trying to stay on your tippy-toes when you're that tired is tough, my legs were shaking like crazy but everyone's were...and people were moaning. Great class that I won't miss. I loved the feet on the bar sequence the best, stayed in bridge for 3 minutes too doing different moves...they don't call it "Barre Butt" for nothing!
I even hit the weight room before I left, I need heavier for my legs. I just can't get the same type of work-out regardless what I do or how hard I do it, so have to at least do that once a week. The problem is I don't want to drive 5 days a week due to the distance, but I will at least go 3 days based on scheduled classes. I even liked the Kickboxing atmosphere better.
I stopped at DSW, got a Cold-pressed beet and carrot juice, went to Wegman's and stocked up on fruit and veggies. My gf texted me to walk while I was there so I did 5.5 miles with her and Lucy after I put everything away. She was shocked how fast Lucy can go...so much so that she had me slow her down. She expected her to be slower because she's so tiny....nope! And running is even worse.
Need to hit the pavement...dh has a "procedure" later that I have to drive him to so we'll be gone all afternoon. Poor guy had his 3rd interview(2nd one was the day after the 1st sleep study when he didn't sleep all night) while prepping. But they've started "negotiations". Travel may be a sticking point for this one...he has a certain percentage he doesn't want to go over...one reason he's retiring, he's spent over 30 years living out of a suitcase and sometimes for 10-months at a time with no family visits in between.

@Mmsfoxxie, I've been doing Zumba 3 years, but just became an instructor in December. I love my teacher because she mixes up Zumba and zumba type choreography to pop songs (Pitbull, Shakira, Gipsy Kings etc) and so that is what I do. I just choreographed my first routine about a month ago to a Pitbull song and she really liked it. Zumba provides new playlists and choreography every other month, so you can mix and match old and new.
As for snow--well, it is march and it is our snowiest month, only we haven't had much. They are calling for a trace to 2 inches where I live and 6-10 south of the city and 6 - 12 in the foothills (west). It's about this time of year that I hate snow much more than other times of the year.

Wow, they fixed the issue! Logging in to post now does the right thing again, it doesn't take you to the order summary page. As noted on other threads, thrclgin page is not secure, which is bothersome, but not a new problem.
@DrKelli, nice to meet you. Congratulations on received you becoming a Zumba instructor. I hope you'll keep posting about your Zumba adventures.
Lucy, you continue to bring it. I get worn out just reading about everything you do.
Hi, Bopper, Mick and Foxxie, have a good day.
I did lots of errands yesterday, lots of walking. I can tell the lib work has made my legs a lot stronger...I don't get fatigued during a day of errands. Nice.
I called yesterday for an appt to get my eyes checked. Appt is 3 months out. I had no idea it would take so long to get in. Fortunately, I have no concerns, it's just a routine check, so the wait is ok.
I'm enjoying Cub David Ross on DWTS. He looks like he's having fun. I think the judges are scoring him a little high, but hey, that's ok. I want him to stick around for awhile. Cubs opening game on Sunday - I'm excited! Should be a fun season.

nomless...I forgot about something I wanted to mention to you...you'd think after that book I couldn't possibly have left something out...lol! I got a new pair of sandals yesterday at DSW that are the bomb on my inured, sore feet....and probably good for PF as they have a higher heel than front of shoe but it's not noticeable. My gf is going to get a pair too after seeing mine because of the cushion. I can't even tell you how much cushion they have...I don't have anything like them. It's like walking on two of the thick, cushiony yoga mats. They'll be great for summer! Baretraps ReBound...I had to get the ones with the toe-loop because the slip-ons were too wide with my skinny feet. I ordered another pair off of Amazon this morning! I did get a half-size larger than my normal sandals...I wear a 6 or 6.5 in flat sandals and went with the 6.5. I wear 7's in my running shoes. Might be good for MickD and bopper too with foot issues.
I won't be posting everyday...not that anyone cares, but don't want to seem I fell off the face of the earth like some people thought on FB...lol! I can't seem to post without writing a book...ay...so will at least space them out. And I'm cutting way back on social media for a study I'm in, so I guess this is considered social media too. I'm not doing FB other than a couple of groups I'm in and pm's but I get notifications for those...some aren't doing any(FB period) at all but I don't want texts from everyone and their brother. Bad thing is I have missed some things I wish I would have known since I'm not even reading the wall, but giving up something means just that.
Dr.Kelli...sounds like you've found something you really enjoy. I did some "race-walking" this morning...takes some practice to get back into it..especially with sore muscles. I did intervals with running and race-walking and the running was easier...lol!

@Iluvlucy, racewalking does require some concentration. It's very easy to fall out of form. I myself am just barely legal--I still have bent legs occasionally. I did take most of last year off after I finished competing in the Rocky Mountain Senior Games. My body was exhausted and I was diagnosed with alopecia, which may have had something to do with the exhaustion. And mentally--I was just over it.

Happy Tuesday @bopper and everyone! My legs (I can't delete this @) and butt were sore all weekend from the trail run.
@Iluvlucy I will look into those bare traps...I think I have a pair of their clogs. I bought 2 pairs of bootie sandals from earth here on the Q. The first pairs of shoes in years as my doc told me only running shoes....well I gotta get out of that groove once in a while!
@bopper (again....@@@@@nd ) DS DH and I are thinking of renting an RV in the Fall to travel on route 66 then down to New Orleans ....and across the desert near the border....we shall see!
Did 2.5 mi/34 min on the treadmill. DH has been sick for over a week with the flu. He finally went to urgent care yesterday. Our family doc was doing the urgent care and rx'd him a zpak. He was told it probably won't do any good for him as the illness is too far in - people are sick for 3 weeks. So the doc said for me to take it. I just got the cold, cough and congestion Sunday.....I haven't taken antibiotics in about 14 years...hope it doesn't last that long....

Hey all, it's finally sunny here, and 46, Hooray! I did the Reformer this morning rebounding and toning and then yoga stretches and took a trail walk with Logan although it's still icy and where there isn't ice there is muck so the big boots are still in order.
Having my son and Grandchildren for dinner, so made them their favorite Brownies and grilling fish.
Lucy thank you for the tip on the sandals on Amazon, I'm going to check those out, yes my feet hurt and my low back is so tight, even doing the Pilates and Yoga, that dang psoais is so tight, I roll on the roller and I feel the hump in my butt cheek...sigh...I still haven't received my book! Good grief its taking long. I did get my copper fit socks though and they are really comfy.
You had a great workout, not that I'm surprised you always bring it. We're finding out tomorrow what they are having. He's flying home after his game today and they have an appt. tomorrow so will know then.
Nomless yes BB season is upon us, Go Tigers! Did anyone see the Red Game yesterday? The Carolina goalie got nailed and they had to take him out on a stretcher, it looked bad and they took a long long time getting him on the stretcher and off the ice. All the players on both sides were out there, some praying. He did give a thumbs up though so that is a very good sign.
Dr. Kelli it's finally nice today to get in a power walk, I didn't have the time today, but it is supposed to be nice again tomorrow, so I hope to then.
MickD sorry DH is sick and your not all that great either, lots of stuff going around, hopefully once April hits things will back off. Renting an RV sounds cool. I'd love to do that and go see my son in CO and then we can take Logan with us. He wouldn't have a big enough driveway or yard for us to park it though.
Well I better get some things done before my son and kids get here. Have a nice rest of your day. I didn't have to babysit as I thought I was as he got done work earlier than expected.

Greetings everyone. I had a great but uneventful day.did two classes and came home to make some calls.
One of my calls was to the Red Hats Society to see if there is a chapter near me. I'd like to get involved with something that's fun with no strings attached...just enjoyment.

I think this is a record for me...3 times over here in one day! But I'll forget and no one else will care...lol. TWO people in the hospital waiting room that are QVC shoppers! I hardly ever run into Q shoppers, I couldn't believe it. The one was wearing garden-like clogs, I can't remember the name...but from the Q...she wears them in rainy weather too. bopper I think you may have some...I want to say sloggers but I"m probably making that up. I had on a LOGO hoodie and Ripka jewelry...haha. Too funny...never run into anyone, then 2 people in one room!
MickD, I hope you guys feel better! We've talked about buying an RV...that way we could travel with Lucy and Kit and not have to worry about it. My cousins have one and use it all the time...we also have friends with one that got it for their animals because they transfer(military move) too and it's much easier for them. The hard part for us is deciding if you want the kind you drive or pull with a hitch.
They found a polyp in DH so cut that out...biopsy should be back in about 7-10 days. They take it very seriously with him since his dad died of colon cancer at a young age. We just got home a little bit ago(hospital is an hour away).
Okay...need to get my hospital clothes off..yuck! I walked the hallways while he was in the procedure...I did race-walking when I was in this long hallway by myself where I knew no one could see me...then power-walked the other halls...it was very empty because the cafeteria was closed and it was down by it. If anyone was coming, I'd slow down and walk normal so I didn't look like a weirdo.
Have fun with family at dinner bopper. I had a couple of treats here(chicken wings and a personal peanut butter pie) waiting for dh since he hasn't eaten for almost 2 days. I had something healthier but I didn't spend the past 2 days in the bathroom...lol!
