Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

On 6/8/2014 FUTURE said: Hi, HHC1, and welcome!! You've found a FABULOUS group to help with accountability, encouragement, and ideas. No judgement here -- we just keep on keeping on! Smiley Wink Enjoy yourself as you hop back on the wagon. Well, guys, I did yard work and cleaned out some cupboards yesterday instead of spin. And today I cleaned out our big storage room. It feels SO good!!!! I might hop on the bike here in a little bit. Sometimes you've just got to get some junk out of your life, be it physical, emotional, or tangible. There's my sermon for the day! Lol!! Had a great time with company, but it was a full, busy, tiring weekend, so I'll have to get back on my game this week. Oh! Bopper, how are you liking the 21DF?? You, too, Nomless! I think I'd like to try the food portion control part of things. That's my biggest weakness, as I've said countless times here. If there was one thing I could change about my health, etc, it would be that I could be one of those people that doesn't really care about or crave foods -- you just eat healthy and move on. Unfortunately, I'm not wired that way, so I've got to work around it! Ok, hope you all enjoy what's left of the weekend, and have a happy Monday!!

Hi all...Thanks for making me feel so welcome. Today was day 2 of the treadmill in my basement. I managed to do one hour. It was tough, but I kept seeing visions of the matronly clothing I'm forced to wear right now because of my weight gain. That terrible vision kept me going. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hey all, been under the weather today...stomach....so didn't do anything.

HHC1 hi, so glad you found us here...lots of news and encouragement here.. You did great today on the treadmill Mine is in the basement too...I like mine and use it a lot.

FUTURE I like the workouts a lot, but am not doing the container thing. I found out I am too fussy of an eater and it isn't working for me. I use myfitnesspal.com to track my food.

Tony Jr. winning the race, I was happy about that.

Pppmint safe travels home tomorrow..a long ride I hope you can avoid the rain.

nomless hi and waving.

OK, my laptop is almost in the garbage, so in my basement on the clunky desk top and it's freezing down here so not feeling good enough to be cold...later gaiters.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Nomless, WTG!! Awesome work. Smiley Wink Bopper, thanks for the info. I did more research and think I'll pass. Plus, for the most part, I have WO's I enjoy, and probably wouldn't use the videos. Smiley Happy Today I was going from 6-5, work, errands, had a repairman here for something minor (PTL!), and stuff around the house. I managed to do Pilates for 30 minutes. Oh, and took boy pup for a short walk. The weather was gorgeous, but kept looking like it was going to rain (did this am, but hasn't yet this afternoon), so I didn't feel like getting rained on after today. Also bought tickets for an upcoming wknd away with a friend, store, and washing the bed sheets that a pup managed to get sick on today. Lol! I just need to make the bed, and hit the hay, because I'm going to early spin class tmrw am. I have a few friends in town tmrw, so we will meet up, and not sure if I'll have time to WO between then and work. Well, I know I won't, so I'm modifying my plans. Smiley Happy Hubby and I made pizza at home tonight (store bought whole wheat crust), and they were delish!! Had some SF FF pudding with berries for dessert. Smiley Happy Ok, I need yo get rolling. Hope you all have a nice night!!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi everyone! Lots of cardio today, since I'm getting my hair highlighted/low lights tonight, and I figure I can't wash it for two days...means no cardio tomorrow. Isn't that kind of pathetic???{#emotions_dlg.blushing}

It's kind of a good excuse to do the machines. I prefer cardio-you get that awesome feeling (endorphins){#emotions_dlg.tt1}

Enjoy your workouts ladies!!

Welcome HHC1-!!! What a great inspiration=clothing makes us feel good. I remember after I had my third child, I swore I was never going to wear anything loose and maternity-like again. I worked out like a maniac, and my reward was buying new clothing! It kept me going. We all need an incentive!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi everyone! Did the trail for 30 min. today. Was tired, but cut about 2 min. off my time as it was perfect running weather....cloudy and 69 degrees. Having some foot pain and pain on my left leg right where the top of the leg bends....yay another nerve issue....be gone!!

Welcome HHC1! Way to go on the treadmill!!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi, everyone. I hope it's been a good day.

I don't think I'm going to get in a workout today, I have other things I need to do after work.

I sure enjoyed Amer. Ninja Warrior last night. Love that show. Still sad about someone from last week who failed, but how cool to see two women complete the course.

For those who watch BL: did you know Allison Sweeney has written two chick-lit novels? I'm interested in reading them, just to see what she can do. She's written several books, nonfiction as well as fiction.

That's all for now.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hey all,

Tony I am fine, just contracted a 24 hour bug,,,been going around here a lot lately. My sister said at work 3 people have it. I have a very sensitive stomach too but thanks I doing fine.

I did a light workout today, didn't want to do any stomach stuff. 75 squats, 17 push ups and walked Logan on the trail.

Anyone get the Fitbit? I am passing. I don't own a smart phone or i phone and no laptop nor ipad to link it to.

tomorrow I have to pick up my GD at school at noon, her last day and have her until 6:30 pm so I may not get a workout in. Groceries in the morning.

Nomless I would be interested in reading her books too. Are they on Amazon?

MickD you did great on the trails...I like the woods, minus the bugs!

FUTURE You are a mover and a shaker....

Mtnbikegirl Hope your hair turned nice...

OK Logan is giving me the stink eye.......later gaiters.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Bopper, yes, Allison's books are on Amazon. Tony, yes, the 21df containers are sold separately as well as in the program. But sold separately, you don't get the book that helps you figure it all out. The dvds are good, basic workouts, challenging but not extreme. I like them on days when I'm in a hurry ( they're 30 min), but on most days feel like I should do more.
