Just stopping in to say hi--summer has arrived in Colorado. This weekend was actually really nice, but we are supposed to be in the high 90s all week. And then back to the 70s for next weekend!
The usual for me for the week--quick fit, small group and Zumba. Friday, I meet back with the nutritionist because my trainer is out of town.
My computer just shut off because it said the environment was "too warm". That does not bode well since I'm sitting in my office.
Have a great week everyone!

It is still unbearably hot here. Lost power twice yesterday so when I re-set my clock radio, I didn't notice that I set it for the right time but did AM (I was re-setting it in the afternoon) instead of PM. Last night I go to bed and remember to re-set the alarm. So this morning my alarm never went off - thank goodness I woke up - but when I looked at the clock it said 5:15 PM instead of AM! No wonder my alarm didn't go off as it was set for 5:15AM. LOL
Hope everyone has a good Monday!

Happy Monday everyone!
@JudyL I know not many in the bay area have a.c. We lived in Fremont for 6 years and were one of the few who had central air...we lucked out when we bought that house. Stay cool!
Did 2.75 mi/34 min on the treadmill. 87 here.

Hi, all. I've been MIA again, very busy with daily life things.....doc appts, vet, etc. How the heck did I have time to work full time? It seems like now managing daily life takes all my time. Ugh.
Foxxie, have fun on your Red Hat trip. 😃

Morning, it's quite cloudy and chilly here, 55 outside. I know many are unbearably hot though.
DrKelli my DIL and son who live in Denver said it's been hot there too. I'm glad it will be hitting the 70's for you. My DIL is pregnant so the heat is hard on her. She's doing great though .
Judy I've done that exact same thing with the clocks. If I don't have my glasses on I can't see the AM or PM and have done the same thing as you. Glad you woke up though.
Nomless I hear ya, things come up sometimes and take the whole day to sort out. Logan needs his hair cut badly but I'm trying to time it with the budget.
MickD I tried my trail yesterday afternoon after the rain stopped but didn't go far, it's to wet and too muddy and buggy. I don't think it's dried up since the snow melt seriously as we've had so much rain.
Lucy are you still readying, we hope your alright?
Was going to walk outside but not sure as it sure looks like rain. Then do some pilates.
Have a good day everyone!

Hi, Bopper, you're posting early today. Rise and shine, right?
I took one of my kitties to the vet yesterday for annual checkup. I thought he had lost weight and I was right....about 15%. He's underweight. He's 15 now, at the age where renal function could start to decline. We decided to run a blood screening - maybe There's something going on that can be treated, but I suspect not.
What makes me sad is this guy loves me so much more than any other furkid has. He's happy only when he's touching me, preferably on my lap, but if that'd not possible, next to me will do. He'll get on my lap, facing me, then gazes at me for minutes on end - 20, 30 minutes for more. He seems to feel that I can solve any problem, that I'm all knowing and can fix anything. That's where my sadness comes in....there will come a time when his health declines and I won't be able to fix it. Although It's wonderful to have a cat who is this devoted to me, I feel like I fail to life up to his desires. In his perfect world, he would be on my lap 24/7, but in my world, that's not possible. Oh, well, I know I do my best.
It's silly of me to go on a tangent about my angst over my cat, but this is something I do think about a lot. I feel like I'm always letting him down, and that makes me sad.

Dang, vet called and left a message to discuss Shadow's lab work, but when I called back, vet is gone for the day. The fact that he didn't say it's a-ok probably means there's an issue. I suspect he's starting to suffer from decline of renal function...he's at the age where you often see that. Sigh. At least he seems to feel ok and eats and drinks well and is not in immediate danger, I don't think. Will call vet tomorrow.

Morning, it's beautiful here this morning, 64 and sunny and I know many are sweltering in heat so I am so grateful for the cool weather we've had all Spring.
Nomless I'm so sorry to hear about Shadow, he sounds like a cuddler and he knows how much you love him and knows you are trying to help him. Never feel you are letting him down, you are doing as much as you can and you love for him will go deeper into his soul than anything else. I'll pray for your baby. Please keep us posted!
I just got home from shopping, I saw a super cute elderly lady and she had on the cutest outfit. I thought it was a LOGO cardi but it wasn't . I told her she looked very nice and that I love her cardigan and I loved her cute hair and she said "thank you so much, I was having a bad morning and you made it so much better".. she really was stylin. Her cardi was grey and the back was all ivory sheer pleats and it was so cute, grey capri's too and her hair was short and kind of sassy!
As soon as I finish my coffee I'm heading outside.
Hoping you all have a good day!

Good morning, all! I'm crazy busy at work, but thought I'd dash over here and say hi.
@nomless, I'm sorry you didn't get great news from the vet. But as someone who lost their 16 year old dog in October, I will tell you, their world revolves around you and there is no disappointment on their parts. I was devastated to lose my Ed, but I knew it was time. He had developed dementia and was failing fast. It is one of the worst things we have to do as a pet parent. I hope that your kitty can be treated though. He knows that you are doing everything you can for him!
Yesterday in the locker room at the gym, one of the regulars in Zumba (who wasn't there for my big debut) came up to me and said "I hear you had a very successful class last week!" Then she told me that she had worked with one of the new people who had told her that she loved it and would be back this week, so YAY!
I hope you are all having a great day. It is hotter than you know what here. We're supposed to cool off by the weekend though.

The fog, the glorious, cooling, wonderful Bay Area fog is back - for a bit. At least yesterday, last night, and this morning were cooler. As @DrKelli knows, when there is a heat wave in the Bay Area, we all rejoice when that glorious wonderful fog comes rolling back in. However, tomorrow is supposed to be unbearably hot again. Ugh.
@nomless so sorry to hear about your cat. I know how hard it is. Had to say goodbye to my cat a little over 2 years ago and it is one of the hardest things we have to do as a fur baby parent. I'll pray that whatever is wrong with Shadow is fixable. But as Dr. Kelli said, animals know when they are loved and know that we are doing our best with them.
Watched "Victoria" on PBS last night. It was the first show I'd seen of the series. Anyone else watching it? I really enjoy English history - my mother was English so I've always been fascinated and interested in it. Think my love of history comes from her. Anyway, I enjoyed the show. Love seeing all the period costumes, social customs, etc.
Have a good Wednesday everyone!
