Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi, all! Busy day. Work, then did 15 min on the bike and 30 on the treadmill. I wasn't feeling, but I did it. I ran to the mall to get hubby some jeans, then came home and helped him in the yard. I made homemade pizza for dinner (second time this week! Lol!), and we are addicted. I get this really thin flatbread, put tomato sauce on it, then pile really high with veggies (plus 8 pepperonis, just for a little indulgence. Haha), and a little part skim cheese. Oh! And sundried tomatoes. I could eat a jar of those things! We devoured it. Now I'm doing laundry and just took a shower. My skin got duper dry in the past two days, and it's driving me absolutely mad, so I'm going to steam my face and get ready for bed! Spin EARLY in the am!! Hope you guys have a nice night. Bopper -- cute idea for FD. Patty and gazelle, be careful with those toes!! I'm the same way...........Smiley Wink

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Morning! Quite the storms last night, more rain for today. Walked Lucy this morning, humid but not too bad.

FUTURE...I love sun-dried tomatoes and just had some up in Newport. I used to cut them up in my spaghetti sauce but my son didn't like them so I stopped. I still like them on salads.

mtnbikegirl...have fun in NYC! I drove by it and was thinking I'm due for another trip there. We had a ball both times we went, Christmas was the best!

bopper...sounds like you had a fun day. Really neat gift from O!

Hope you can walk into your appt with some dignity Gazelle...lol.Wink

nomless...yes, I always laugh when I fall or get hurt.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Judy...you sound just a little excited.Wink

MickD...glad you like your new machine.

I hurt my shoulder(well, it's been hurting since I was doing the heavier weights up there in the gym again. Waking up with my fingers numb.) last night doing tricep dips. And I mean "hurt"...ouch. Brought tears to my eyes. Good news is, my entire upper body is very sore so I don't have to do any of it today. Even my core and back muscles. So today I can kill my legs and let my shoulder rest.

I got 10 miles in again yesterday. Going to try and keep that up as best I can. I am excited to move because I know I'll work-out more down there. I used to work-out pretty hard on my own at the gym and/or run, then meet up with some friends for 6 to 10 miles. Hope I can get back into that routine.

Thinking it's time to go back to CrossFit and will look into a box down there...well, until I hurt my shoulder again last night...lol.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}

Anyway, heading out for my run! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} Hope I didn't miss anyone, have a great day...

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hey all, muggy day for the most part but I did a lower body workout and then mowed all the front and some of the backyard before I ran out of gas...the mower not me {#emotions_dlg.laugh}.

I met my son at the greenhouse and we bought my plants,,some of them anyways..and a bag of dirt. I make up my own hanging baskets so bought a mixture of stuff

MickD so glad you are liking your TG and your sore.......that's great!

Pppmint hope your shoulder feels better today and your sciatica is better too. DH has terrile sciatica as well. Did you get a lot accomplished today?

Nomless which workout did you do today?

FUTURE another lover of sundried tomato's...I actually bought enough tomato plants so that when they are ripe I can freeze them for my homemade sauce during the winter.

I have my GD tomorrow afternoon again. Now with school out working parents have a hard time with their child care so I help out when I can. She's a good little girl so we always have a fun time.

Ok all time for dinner..

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi, everyone, I hope you're having a good day.

It's another busy week for me. I missed Tues's w/o because I had to work late. I missed last night, too, because an unexpected obligation came up that I had to do, I couldn't postpone it. I don't yet know if I"ll be able to w/o tonight. I hope so, I really need it.

Mick, I'm so glad you're enjoying the TG.

Patty, take care of that shoulder.

Bopper, you had fun with DGD.

Future, your pizza sounds delish!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi, everyone!! Almost TGIF! It's been so busy for the past several weeks, and I'm ready for it to slow down, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen any time soon. Smiley Happy I asked hubby if we could just go get salads from whole Foods tomorrow night for dinner, and watch a movie at home -- he was all for it! Tonight I made egg whites with onion, mushrooms, spinach, basil (fresh), sun dried tomatoes (OBVS), and a little cheese in it. Hubby isn't a huge egg fan and he even loved it. He made us a big juice in our vitamin with spinach, carrots, apple, strawberry and blueberry in it. Delish! I was planning on doing spin this am, but it stormed off and on all night and he dogs were up and down and crazy, and I didn't sleep well, and when my alarm went off, it was still thunder storming. I just couldn't make myself do it. So instead, after work I did 15-20 minutes on the bike, then took a walk with hubby, then took boy pup out. He knew we had gone without him, and so he was pouting and making me feel bad when we got home. I couldn't resist. Good gravy, it was muggy!!! Anyway, this weekend is busy, helping a friend move, spin class, and helping my brother at his house -- again. Smiley Wink I'll take Sunday to rest. The work transition has been going well. There's just a learning curve and there is a lot that needs to be organized, but I really like getting to do that type of thing a few days a week. Bopper, good job on the mowing! Until the gas dilemma. Smiley Wink lol! I helped hubby in the yard last night, and my upper body was all "hive-y" this morning. Coated on the hydrocortisone cream.....:-/ When I'm outside around plants AND I get hot and sweat, that always happens. Just started in the past few years. Anyway..... Nomless, hope work lets up!! Patty, hope your shoulder feels better. You've really been busting it lately! Mick, you are getting after that Tg, aren't you?!?! Smiley Wink It's always great when we find something we like! Ok, gotta run!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi All! It sure seems like everyone has a whole lot going on! But at least you all sound good! I'm glad to see that I am not the only klutz in the group. But I can't top hobbling to the doctors trying to look so good! Today was drizzle and cool, did a couple of DVDs along with cleaning and laundry. Stay with it!!!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Happy Friday!!

Woke up to 97% humidity with the windows all steamed over...and cat puke on the carpet...yay me.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

So far: 2-mile run, 2-mile walk with Lucy, and jump-roping(I'd do 50 fast jumps then 10 jumping burpees). My upper body is still sore from Wed but more my lats, traps, rear delts and tri's...yesterday it was more my chest, shoulders and bi's. Funny how different muscles took longer to be sore when I worked them all in the same work-out.

Anyway, my butt, thighs, hams, and calves are sore today...but I was shooting for that when I pushed myself to squeak out a couple more reps on everything even when I was already shaking and spent!Wink

Not many people were at the gym(compared to usual) but I think it was an off-time that I was there.

Okay...the vacuum is calling my name and Lucy's mobile Spa service will be here soon...lol!
