Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Happy Hump Day everyone, I had lots of running around this morning so I didn't do Shred, but I did do about 20 minutes on my Total gym.  Then in between the rain I walked Logan on the trail, boy was that a muddy wet slippery mess, almost wiped out in a mud puddle, and the trees are just dripping wet and skeeters,,,glad I"m back.

I haven't used my BG in a while either because of this committment I have with the Shred but I should be using it in the afternoon, I think I need to put it out where i can see it.

nomless do you like your lantern?  Mine is out for delivery now, I'm waiting with baited breath for the Brown truck to appear.  I bought batteries this morning.

Laura you really do need to bring water, that's so hot, I don't know how you managed.  Hope your back feels better.

Lots of kitchen shows today and jewelry all day tomorrow, not a fan per say of the jewelry and I can only take a little of the kitchen gadgets...I did see a cool egg cooker though, not the hard boiled egg cooker but a little microwave deal.

Going to dinner with another couple tonight for a BD so that will be nice.  We are low key and it's just a rustic log place but nice view.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Bopper, I returned my lantern.  It was too small for the space.  Oh, well.  I hope you like yours.

100+ degrees here today.  Ugh.  And I'm not feeling well, so I'm spending the afternoon napping instead of exercising.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

I slept my way through Ride class this morning but did get up and go walking with my music so it wasn't a total loss.   I'm thinking I may try Active class again on Sunday to switch it up.  I am officially bored with my workouts and the gym classes are getting less and less.  They keep taking classes away and there is only so much cycling I can do.

Hope everyone is having a good week.  Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Morning, I did my first day of level 3 of 30 Day shred and had to follow the modifier for a lot of it but I still did it.  I can't do jumping lunges or jumping sumo squats so just did them the regular way.  It was traveling pushups ( modified for me) and planking with rows and lifting the legs alternating the legs and arms, side planks, full situps, cleans, and then intermittent cardio...10 days of this now and I think I need to start the TG up again, at least for 10 minutes in the afternoon.

Nomless sorry you aren't feeling well, 100 is way too hot.  We're only 60 right now but by Saturday and Sunday we may hit 90, too hot for me.

Laura I understand the bordem, I am at that point with the dvd's day after day the same one, that's hard to keep up but Im committed and will do it.  I do take Sunday off though and Jillian says not to take a rest day but I do.  I think some of that is because many people take 1 day off and that turns to severl days off, I can take 1 off and get back at it the next day.

Oh nomless I do like my lantern.  I know it was a smaller version of the lanterns I have seen but for some reason thought it would be larger than it is.  I raised mine up on books and have it in the Bay window with another Lantern on the opposite side and in the middle of my Bay window I have Valeries Birdbath lamp setting on Linda Dano's big square mirror  with some mercury glass small votives on the mirror too.  I think I will invest in that mama jama 25" Herritage lantern, need to save for it though.

Well better get to showering, and I have to vacuum and swiffer.  Have a great day and I sure hope you feel better nomless!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Bopper, I'm glad you were able to make the lantern look good.  I really loved the yellow color of mine, but now I know I need one at least 18" tall or even taller.  Yellow isn't a choice for the larger ones.  Maybe down the road, they'll add colors.

I'm feeling a little better today, and I did cardio.  I don't know if I'll do another workout later.... I'm seeing a pattern of feeling badly the day after I do 2 workouts.

@nomless Listen to your body.  Rest and recovery is just as important as working it out.  Heart  I hope you feel better soon.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Bopper - can I live in the house in your picture?  LOL  Way to go on the Shred!

Nomless - hope you feel better soon.  Do what your body tell you to.

My elbow is still bothering me - although MUCH better - so think I will do a workout tomorrow.

Have a good Thursday everyone!
