Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Patty, in one of the rounds, when the last guy was struggling with the last weight, several failed attempts, it was cool how one of the finishers encouraged the crowd to get into it and cheer support. And then he did it! Love that about both Crossfit and Ninja. The respect they have for one another. It 's really all about personal best. If you gave it your all and worked to the max, you get as much support and respect as the winner. I think there's an age 60+ group, too. Wish they'd shoow some of that. Have to get chores done so I can watch this afternoon.

Yes, the boxes are like that too....everyone cheers and encourages everyone else. There is respect just for showing up and giving it your best.

There is a 60+ group called CrossFit Master's and their competition was last week!

I'm running late!!

Patty, just an aside....we have a Samsung w/d set and really love it. We've only had it 3 years, but no problems (knocking on wood as I type this, bc pretty sure one of our a/c units is either low on freon or dead.....on the hottest weekend of the year). Ugh. Smiley Wink

GRRR that they're preempting the Cross fit FINALS!!!! Sooooo angry. I've been watching the leader boards all afternoon, know the competition is up for grabs. Majorly bummed that I can't watch.

Me too!! The cats ran and hid under a table, they thought I was nuts. In awe of him and so pleased for him. Bet we'll never see another 4-peat.

It was cool that he said it was harder this year because the others are better.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Morning, checking in with 3 miles on the treadmill and some yoga...

Rainy Sunday yesterday so didn't even go anywhere...cooked a turkey and made banana bread and watched baseball...our kind of Sunday along with some Nascar!

I did see some of the CF games too...My goodness those women are strong...how cool that they can accomplish all of that!

Man I am sweating buckets right now.....and I'm in the basement with no heat! It's muggy though.

Have a good day all!

And it's just going to get more insane as the years go on. Just like the Olympics...people keep training harder, pushing themselves further, and keep getting stronger than the year before.

Dh said he's going to start training when he retires...I told him he'd be in the Master's and he said, "Oh, no, I most certainly will not". LOL!

We got up at 4:30 and got moving. Drove down to the beach/boardwalk, had coffee, watched the sun-rise, and walked a few on the boardwalk. Lucy was in heaven.

I just got back from walking to the credit union, post-office, and then gym...did shoulders and tri's, then did the stair-stepper hard for 10 minutes, then ran home. And it's hot and humid...you get on that stretch of road by the swamp with the trees on both sides...ugh...it's like a sauna.

Okay...need to get some laundry done which is another work-out up and down these stairs at least 30 times. Did I mention I can't wait to have my own house!

OH! FUTURE, yes, I had the top of the line Samsung front-loads in Florida...I know Samsung is good but I HATED the front-loads. I said "never again" and I mean it. I'm super OCD and fussy about my laundry, have a certain way I have to do it and I have to be able to lift the lid and look in or stop it to soak with the lid up.

Okay...Lucy will not leave me alone...guess I'm going on another walk!
