Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Pstty, I'm reading Miss Buncles Book. It was written in the 1930's. It's about a woman in small English village who writes a book based on the people in her village. It's light, charming, with a bit of humor. A feel-good book.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Thanks ladies. The race went well. I came in 7th in my age and 124 our of 654 runners. It was fun.

I hope I can be some inspiration to someone. I started walking in 2012 and starting running in 2013. I was able to drop 55-60 pounds in those two years. Since picking up running in 2013, I have run about 10 races. Running was the best thing that has ever happened to me.

The races give me something to work towards. I had no idea how many fun run/races go on every weekend. They are the best.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Hi HW...haven't seen ya around for a while...hope all is well!

Way to go SFGIANTSGAL! We're actually going to do a couple here after dh recovers from his shoulder surgery. Some of our friends here do them as well as the guys in his command and this area has some good ones like the Shamrock.

nomless, I saw that book when dh and I were at Barnes and Noble's.

DH's surgery is Wed...he has TWO tears instead of just the one he was originally told he had after they read his MRI in DC. The Ortho specialist here said he has also has a tear in his Rotator cuff...it's the slap tear though that will be the harder one to fix and the one that will cause the most recovery pain.

Poor Lucy was in her kennel for 9 hours yesterday(we stopped and let her potty after church before going to our friend's house)...longest ever. She was not happy. My gf is going to babysit her on Wed when dh has his surgery. I'm nervous...hope she isn't a handful, she doesn't like to be without me.

I've been up since 4:30, was hoping I'd sleep later today but my eyes popped open and I was up. It's been 4:30 to 5 for the past month so maybe it's just my body's internal summer clock...lol.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Morning, we had bad storms come through last night but today it's all cleared up and cooler.

I just did weights, trying to go heavier but I only have sport blocks and I really don't like them as it's hard to adjust the pin and each only goes to 24 pounds but I did my best. I used the Chalene Xtreme dvd but also did some of my own stuff.

Hi Hilde- great job on your bike ride, love to ride my bike too.

SFran awesome race....glad to see that running has really worked for you!

Nomless which workout are you tackling today?

Pppmint I will pray DH has good results with his surgery and a speedy recovery. He's in such good shape I think it should go good! And Lucy, her was mad at you for leaving her so long....but she's making it up to you .

Judy when do you leave for your trip? Must be getting close now.

Tony what a wreck yesterday hey? Woza!

Okay kids, need to get a move on with this laundry situation..have a great day!
