Happy Friday everyone! Another stormy day here and blowing and drifting snow. Some major highways are even shutting down with barricades. My son drives semi so I hope he is safe!
I did 20 miles on the Proform Xbike this morning and will be doing a lot of shoveling. Just hard when it comes back in your face. Almost have to wait until it subsides.
Patty praying Lucy's tests come back and it' s an infection that the antibiotic will take care of and DS's come back good too! You have way too many things going on....take a breath and know we are all sending you good vibes.
SeaMaiden I have a Sheltie that I walk with, he loves the snow here. I mean so much he lays down in it, rolls in it, loves to chase snowballs....He's just an outside cold winter dog and we get plenty of that here. I love all dogs, glad your Golden is your buddy too!
Nomless are you getting nasty weather there? Good day for soup. I thawed some I had frozen for our dinner and think I'll make some bread to go with it.
Waving to everyone!
Be Well, Be Blessed, and Be thankful!

Thanks ladies. Vet called while we were out to lunch and I missed it, I told them to call dh's # because he always has to have his ringer on 24/7 for work and I always have mine on vibrate...grrrr.
Anyway, he left a message saying we have to bring her back in this afternoon for an ultra-sound guided biopsy, they need more cells. I'm not happy, nor will she be. Plus it will be another week of waiting and worrying. And still haven't heard from ds's and that was last Saturday!! I want this stuff off my mind!
I did the exact same on my X-bike this morning bopper. We also took Lucy out for a few miles and I did a quick lif( legs) at the gym. I guess it was a good thing it was before I knew about this or I wouldn't have had the energy, it just drained me when I listened to the message. Now my stomach is all in knots.

Hi Everyone,
My iPad has been wacky with the Qvc site all week. It is a little better today.Why- electronics to not like me!
We are doing ok snow- wise here in the northeast. There was a storm last friday but it hit the cape and eastern mass more then me. They had deep, heavy wet snow- we had about 7 inches of fluff. Same for Monday- nothing to crank about. This weekend is pure cold. it'll be 12 below and the windchill will make it 35 below. It's still better than a blizzard. Boston has had 2 feet of snow this winter and last year at this time it had had 77 inches. My city had the most snow in the country last year- I am ok with not beating that record this year or any year!
Nomless- your exercise desire will return. I think it is hard to get going when you take time off from it cos you think you did it before, you'll do it again. I agree- I cannot find that workout I like. I only like them for a couple of weeks! I laughed at you changing lanes- I did that last week too, trying to avoid the melted snow on the side of the roads! and we have so much salt! My truck is white right now- real color is blue!
Bopper- can't you just keep your weather with you- you truly need not send any this way!
I didn't know your son drove a semi! A ride in a big rig is on my bucket list! When I did firefighting- the trucks were great but not the same.
Patty- so, chaos continues! I truly hope things start getting better. You really need to start the upswing.
Laura- walking is the best. It is so much easier than a workout! I give all of you workout enthusiasts lots of credit- I flunk all of the time. I use all excuses- no gyms are near me, I have to iron first, I have to do laundry, I'm gonna go for a walk, I gotta watch Ellen..........
Skylark- I hope that tree is down. Last Friday 2 people were killed by falling tree limbs from the weight of the snow.
Seamaiden- stay with it. I cannot imagine having all of those surgeries. Good for you for wanting to get moving.
Stay warm and safe!!

Patty, waiting for good news about your furkid. I'm an animal nut and not afraid to admit it. You must be very upset. They are so close to us,an important part of the family.
Tony, the tree is down! They did a great job. It's 30mph winds tonight so I'm grateful I don't have to worry about my neighbors. Scary about the people killed you mentioned. Hope you're done with the huge snows. Last year was incredible in Boston, could not believe the pictures.
Nomless, hope the new job is going well.
Bopper, how is baby Maddie doing? Talking yet? Ha! Also are the new pup and the other dog still getting along?
Wishing everyone a nice Valentine's weekend.

Hi, Tony, good to see you. Stay warm! It's cold here, too. Snow tomorrow.
Skylark, yea that the tree is down. Well, I'm sorry the tree had to go, but since it did, glad that is was done without any issues.
Hi, Bopper, as usual, you just keep shoveling snow away!
Laura, did they have Pound class?

@MoJoV In December we had wind storm and a huge 100 year old Douglas Fir tree fell and hit two neighbors properties.....no one hurt. Just a huge mess with insurance companies clean up etc. It is good you have the tree down if you know It is unsafe. Most of the time it just happens out of the blue like with our tree. Not good!
Day three of my dog walk....my legs are so weak from not walking. It is going to take a while to get back into shape. Happy Valentines Day to all!
@Iluvlucy I hope you feel better soon.

Hot-flash City all night long which made for a miserable night...ugh. It was 53* in here and I still had the covers off of me.
The vet did a biopsy on each side of her neck. They are over-nighting it but with the weekend he said we probably won't hear until Tuesday.
DH finally got a new vehicle so that's one thing off our plates. It's soooo nice to have 2 vehicles again....yay!
We'll be house-hunting today in some pretty windy weather...single-digits with high winds, I'm debating whether I should bring a jacket.
I saw someone from MN posted -19* for temp and -32*. We're already over 20mph gusts.
nomless, are you getting more comfortable with the new job?
Thanks for thoughts and prayers everyone? I've been doing chores all morning so need to finish up and get Lucy's "happy pill" in her. Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm glad they put Lucy's test on rush, Patty. Know that I'll be praying she's OK. Yay that the car problem is solved. What a crummy day you have for house hunting. I hope you find something you love. I hope DS ois doing OK, too.
Thanks for asking about the job, as others have done, too. I appreciate the interest and support of all. I have good news to report - it's going well. Last week some things fell in place and I feel like I finally understand at least some of what I'm doing, even though there's more to learn. I've met more people and they seemed friendly and relaxed. I continue to be impressed by the easy-gping atmosphere that seems to characterize this company. My boss is receptive to (even welcomes) my ideas that would reduce the work effort needed for tasks. So, it's all good. I still wish it could be a few fewer hours per week, but, oh my, how cool that that is my only complaint. I'm very grateful that this opportunity to work with my former boss finally worked out. Working for someone I've worked with before makes things so much easier.
Next week, temps are supposed to warm up so I'll have no excuse for avoiding my workouts. I talked to a friend yesterday who also has difficulty sticking with her program, so she asked if she could come and work out with me. I hope she does...havimg a workout buddy would help get me going again.
I saw an infomercial for a new Shark Rocket vac. It looks great and reviews are terrific, so I'm going to BBB this morning to get one. Gosh, I don't need it....I have 3 but two are heavy and I don't like to use them. I like the Rocket I have, bit the motor is by the handle, and the weight there strains my wrist after extended use. On the new model, they've moved the motor back down to the head, taking the weight off the wrist. So..... I know it's crazy to buy another vac, but I'm going to do it anyway.
Happy weekend, everyone. Have fun.
