LOL, Bopper! Yes, I've done that. Once I notice something like that, it's hard to ignore it until the DVD is over, but I try! Often happens when I'm doing push-ups...then I notice little bits of stuff on the carpet, LOL.

I hope your knee is feeling OK today.

Re: Welcome to the February Exercise Check In

Hi guys! I'm home and happy about that! It was snowing like crazy when I was loading my groceries then it turned to sleet...ick. Windy again too. Of course I was dressed for CrossFit and not nasty weather.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}

I had my dermie appt after CF and got another steroid shot in my ear. He also changed the antibiotic cream to see if this works better. Then I had some errands after that so now that I'm home, I'm going to soak in my Epsom Salts.

I did 4 miles on new treadmill yesterday. I tried everything out...sprinting, high-incline, power-walking, easy run at 6.0, sprints up to 9.1, etc. I did it all! Found one little glitch I'll have to look into to, just haven't had time.

Did a lot of power-cleans and hang-cleans today. Hence why I need Epsom salts. The last 5 minutes was 500-meter row, 150 jump x 3...so that was the "conditioning" part of it. The AMRAP of power-cleans was the strength-cardio part of the wod. I preferred the row and jump-rope. My arms get so tired doing the cleans...and my quads and arms were sore for the "strength" part of it before that.

Went to a nice graduation last night, my CF girlfriend's son graduated from EMS school. He's going to school to be a nurse and will do this on the weekends. Went and saw our house we're remodeling before graduation, it looks really nice. Be glad when it's done!

Anyhoo...hope everyone is doing well!!!

Re: Welcome to the February Exercise Check In

Wow, Patty, you're bringing it! It sounds like you had a great workout. And you did good stuff on your treadmill yesterday. Wow, it's so awesome that you have the time, facility and equipment.

I was going to buy a lotto ticket today, but I forgot. If I won, I would first quite my job; then move into a larger place; get a treadmill, ellipitcal and bike; and hire a personal trainer in a gym. Sigh. One can dream. I would be happy, happy, happy.

Sleet is the worst, Patty. Yay that you got home OK. Does Lucy try to run on the treadmill with you?

Weights done with Jari Love. Those mega reps are killers for me. 70 pushups, 60 curls, and so on. Muscles all trembly.

Re: Welcome to the February Exercise Check In

Morning! Today is a run day for me, and will do some good stretching and maybe some light weights.

nomless, agree, hate that sleet with rain, snow, and wind. Supposed to snow here again tonight. For sure I do not miss the days of getting up at 3:30 to 4:30 a.m. to work-out when I was working, was even known to be out at midnight running if that's the only time I could get it in. Oddly enough, I was in better shape then...ds's illness, my parents dying, the deployments, my bff dying, these moves, etc., have about done me in. I don't think I'll ever recover from 2010 and 2013.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Speaking of which, dh deploys again this summer.{#emotions_dlg.crying} Won't put the exact date down here but we have it. If my son gets sick while he's gone, I think I will lose my mind. My dil is sick right now and my son can not get sick while on these auto-immune suppressant drugs, so that has me in a dither. DH isn't feeling great so we're not able to go up this weekend like we originally planned, just can't risk it.

I hope you can get a lotto ticket today!! I think it's still going.

Have to make my desserts this morning for that dinner tonight. I have never made either one so hope they turn out okay.

Re: Welcome to the February Exercise Check In

Awwwww, Patty, I'm sorry your visit to see DS is off this weekend. Best wishes to DIL and prayers DS avoids it. Yes, some years stay with us forever as the really bad ones. Mine are 1990 and 1996. I guess we don't really recover from losses, we learn to carry on despite the holes in our heart. Dang that dh will deploy. Oh, my. I giggled reading you don't miss getting up at 3:30 to work out because you seem often see to be up then anyway. LOL. Wishing you a happy day.

Hi Everyone- yup patty and nomless- there are always things that stay with you. Patty- I hope the weekend is still a good one for you and everyone else. And that your desserts today turn out delicious! Bopper-and how is your weather? Re: Welcome to the February Exercise Check In

Hey, everyone!! I'm so sorry I've been MIA lately. We have just been so busy. I've been working OT, and I'm still trying to recover from last weekend. The weather has been changing like crazy, so I feel like I'm fighting off something, and my allergies have been BONKERS!! I have been going to bed super early. It's almost like I can't keep my eyes open past 8 pm! I just figure I must need it, so I've been hitting the hay early. There's times your body is telling you something, and you gave to listen. Smiley Wink I did 3-3.5 miles on Monday, nothing Tuesday, no formal WO Wednesday, but I wish I'd wore my pedometer or fitbit bc I'll bet I walked 6 or so miles at work -- it was one of those..... Tonight I'll hit up the gym for spin. Tmrw I'm going to wake up early and do Pilates, then spin & weights Saturday am. Next week I have GOT to get back into my routine. I can't roll like this and keep my head above water! I've read everyone's posts, but I can't keep track of everything to respond. Lol!! I hope you all stay healthy. Things are going around here like there's no tmrw. I'm staying away from all of them!! I hope everyone has a nice evening. Any big plans for V-Day? Hubby and I aren't big into it. We will do dinner somewhere simple tmrw night, and stay IN on Saturday. I told him, "please don't make me go out on Saturday!!" And he died laughing and said that's exactly what he was thinking. He's my soulmate! LOL!! Hope you guys have a nice day!

Re: Welcome to the February Exercise Check In

Tony, you guys are getting HAMMERED with a very long, difficult winter. Hang in there!! BTW, I haven't seen ducks or geese heading north for a couple of weeks, but I keep my eye out for them. Here are wishes that you get an early spring!

Hi, Future. It's good you're caving in to fatigue and getting rest when you need it. Have fun spinning tonight. Enjoy your day in on Saturday. Sounds like you and DH both need it.

Hi, Bopper, I hope your day is a good one.

I don't know what I'll do tonight. My muscles are still fatigued from yesterday's mega reps, so I'll probably do a cardio something. I probably won't go over to the workout room....I've been on a search for new towels and got a couple that I need to wash before using. I'd like to get that done tonight. I don't like thick plush towels, I like thinner ones, but absorbancy needs to be good. It's so hard to find that! I even tried honest-to-goodness Turkish towels, which are supposed to be the best of the best. I like the weave and their light weight, but I've decided they fail on absorbency. Maybe the two I got today will be what I want them to be.
