Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!  We thought the Opening Ceremonies were cool, we enjoyed it, when they weren't going to a commercial anyway.

MickD...yikes, sorry about the cold water!  Hope there isn't much damage.

Laura...don't get tennis elbow from shining that bottle up for MickD.

nomless...too funny!  Your eyeshadow brush is like my hair pick, just disappeared.

bopper...you were late!

I was a little late getting to the gym yesterday....time got away with me then had to run Lucy a mile and by the time I got there, class was packed!  But it worked out good because I hit the weights for upper body then ran on the treadmill and I'm more sore today than when I did the PUMP class. And I haven't really ran for a while so I needed that too.  Then mowed the grass and trimmed so that's done!

Not sure what I'm doing today, haven't decided.  DH is going to Baltimore for a retirement ceremony on the USS Constellation(old war ship) with his friend so that will be cool.  I would have gone but don't have anyone I trust to let Lucy out.  Really need to find someone.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

I watched the Olympics and I have to say I know everyone went nuts over Mr. Tonga but my Italian guys are beyond hot.  I don't know why my grandparents ever left that country.  That was my cardio last night.  My heart raced with every cute athletic guy that crossed my tv screen.  Smiley Tongue

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone!  Haven't been working out but have been reading your posts.  Starting to get ready for my trip - just a little over 3 weeks now.

Has anyone done Cize?  Watched a little of the infomercial this morning & wondered how difficult it is & how long the routines are.  Checked out the website but  didn'the find info I wanted.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday!

Bopper, no. I haven't found my brushes.  They seem to be gone for good, lol.  Oh, well, I don't need them.

Judy, I don't know anything about   I've seen the infomercial, but that's it.

Did my workout today and am watching the Olympics. No news here.

[ Edited ]

Monday. Smiley Tongue  I had a rough night, I was so wound-up last night as it was, then men's swimming put me over the edge!

We went hiking on the Appalachian Trail yesterday!  It was beautiful...some of the views are spectacular.  Went to this quaint little town in the country and then had lunch in Historic Leesburg at a cute little garden patio.  Came home and washed dh's car, showered, and watched the Olympics.  Great day!

Boy, that female cyclist's crash...how terrible. Smiley Sad

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.  PUMP and Combat today...ugh, so tired!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@Iluvlucy, yes, that crash was terrible.  I worried about her all day. Last night I read she injured 3 vertebrae and had a concussion.  They planned to keep her in intensive care for 24 hours. I hope she'said ok.  I saw it live.  Scary.  One minute she was riding, the next at the side of the road not moving. I couldn't tell what happened to cause the crash.

Men's relay was fun.  Gabby Douglas worries me because she seems sad.  I thought the same during the trials and few weeks ago.  No spark in her now.

Glad you had a fun day yesterday.
