Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Cardio done. I'm liking my new shoes..even though they're brighter than the photo. I don't mind that they're almost neon because they feel good. The nail on my left big toe has been hurting. I think my other shoes were too hard and stiff and the nail was getting irritated. It's too soon to tell for sure, but I think the new shoes will help because they're much softer. So far, I love the shoes. Good bottom, arch and side suppport.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

I switched out the bright pink laces with white ones. That brings the color done a bit. While doing that, I found that the side of the shoe and the tongue are one piece, which is great......the tongue can't slip around to one side or the other, as sometimes happens.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi, all. Busy day and no workout. Bummer. Fridays I generally take off, but I'll make up for it tomorrow! Spin and weights and a little shopping (nothing crazy). Smiley Happy I'll check in with you guys tomorrow or Sunday. Keep trucking!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Morning, nomless I loved the pink laces but i"m sure these look good too...Love neon!

Taking today off, my left hip is all kinked up so thought it wouldn't hurt to take the day.

Awoke this morning to the Bear in my backyard a few feet from the bedroom open window..eating my bird seed. Had knocked over my shepherd hook ( bent it all up) and was eating the seeds...It was 5:50 am when I heard it...I yelled and pounded on the house and he slowly mosied towards the backyard and onto the next yard. Logan didn't see or hear it..So now comes the everyday bringing in all the feeders at night...such a pain!

Have a good day all.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!

I got eaten alive when I went hiking this week. Chiggers, mosquitoes, spiders and something unidentified. I had no desire to tackle the woods this morning, so I used OnDemand for my exercise today.

Muscle Strength - full body with 5 pound dumbbells

Ballet Stretch

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi everyone! I'm up to my eyeballs in boxes...literally! I've been going since 5 a.m. this morning and it doesn't look like I've made a dent!

Cable guy just left so we now have Internet and TV. I'm working on my closets now, I have more clothes than any 10 people need and I'm not exaggerating. My gf's (were here helping me clean yesterday) said I brought more clothes with me to the hotel than most people have so they were snickering when all the ward-robe and shoe boxes were being carried in. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Lucy loves it here, we went running and walking this morning, found a trail right by our house at the end of the street...she was in heaven. Go another direction and we're on the beach...going to love biking and running on this base and will feel very safe.

FUTURE, does your Samsung appliances play music when they're done? I think it's going to take me a while to get used to the washing machine...ay...I'm not one for real fancy things and this might be a little too much for me. I'm old-fashioned in some ways, prefer the basics. You should have seen me when I first got my Iphone, kids about died laughing.

bopper...not liking the bear ordeal but that's all I'll say...I know it worries you enough. I wouldn't let Logan too far out of my reach. And my left hip is killing me!!! I ran up the stairs and just about couldn't walk when I got to the top...what the heck. It's hurt since the day my gf and I did sprints but I told dh it's hurting worse as time goes on...not good.

nomless...I'm glad you're sneakers are comfie!! Nothing beats a good pair of work-out shoes. Well, I suppose there are many things, but you kwim...lol!

Waving to everyone. I'm sure I'm leaving someone out but in a hurry. I don't have near as much cabinet space as I did in Fairfax so I am overwhelmed with the kitchen and can't stop thinking about how I'm going to make it all fit. But I do have 3.5 walk-in closets here so I'm loving that.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi, Honny. Good job!

Bopper, the bear - oh, my! I know you'll be careful.

Patty, yay that you're back in a house again. It will be quite a job to get organized, but you'll get there. It sounds wonderful....being near a trail and the beach.

I'm still not feeling 100%so I did cardio, a little lomger and faster than yesterday. Will spend the afternoon doing some reading and cooking.

. Oh, solved a longstanding organization issue - what to do with all the bottles of stuff under the kitchen sink. Always hard to get to the one I want. I went to BBB and looked at pull-out trays, etc., and finally spotted a 12" lazy susan with a 3" side. It's perfect. Everything fits in it, the side keeps the bottles from toppling, and a spin brings what I'm looking for to the front. Love this thing!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi, all!! Went to the gym this am. Bis, tris, back, shoulders, calves 1-2 exercises for each area, 3 sets of 8-10 reps, higher weight. And some combo squat moves. Then spin. Smiley Happy I was completely drenched walking out. I just need to workout like that every day! But when it cools down, I'll gave to get outside in the fresh air. The air is sooooo not fresh today -- muggy as all get out, and 98-100*. Yuck! Went and did a little shopping, and I got some great bargains. Had a coupon to DSW, so found some NB cross trainers on sale, plus my coupon were about $50. NB fit my feet better than others. I don't mind spending money on WO shoes, but I also don't mind a bargain! Lol! Got some boring stuff -- bath mat, curtains, serving dish, throw pillows, but all great deals. I was very pleased with myself. Not sure what is in store for the rest of the day, but I'm going to try to sneak in a nap, and hubby and I will do dinner tonight. Bopper, the bear scares me!!! Patty, are you paring down your clothes any? I get a wild hair a couple of times a year and go nutso getting rid of stuff! I would love all that closet space!! Nomless, hope you feel better! Way to push through, anyway. Hope everyone else has a fabulous Saturday. Ciao!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi everyone, Checking in with KCM dvd and chose from the Chapter menu. Bi's,tri's, shoulders, and lots of Plank abs..used 12's on biceps, and tricep kick backs, 15 ( 1 dumbbell) for behind the head tricep, I think I could go with 13's on biceps but don't have those..I don't even think they make 13's. Lots of planks in different positions, and lower belly crunches..Will try and walk after lunch if it doesn't rain..supposed to rain and we need it badly...so if it does I have another plan...I'll do lower body...

Hoping everyone is having a good day..
