Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Morning! Yup bopper, I was in the produce aisle for some fruit but stopped at farm stands on the way home for the vegetables. So good! I was sitting here with my coffee, no muffins -so I am coming over! Patty- hope all things smooth out for you. Nomless- too bad you won't see your new friend friend- a live person to encourage and motivate! Our fall is usually perfect weather- so nice! My plan is to pull JM out when I am back in a routine- less favors at work, more set schedule....I never really got a chance to give her a chance. Future-scrubs every day is easy but unimaginative! SF- Ido not like the shortened daylight either. I work 12 hour shifts and have noticed the later sunrise and earlier sunset- oh well. Honny- I bet it's a nice time of year to walk around a lake! Not sure of today's w/o plan but will do something! Enjoy today!!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi everyone. I'm taking a break...I'm pooped! House is clean, I'm as ready as I'm going to get.

DS is still having issues, more than we thought, heard back from his ultra-sound, might have a stone in his duct again too...ugh. They're driving down right now, won't be in until around 9:30 tonight. DH's brother should be in about 40 minutes. Not going to see them much, dh still has to work on his speech tonight.

I've done over 5 miles today walking and running, did legs, and some upper body sets in between the legs. I didn't go as heavy but did more reps...trying to let this hip heal which I think it is, my foot is still giving me problems though. Not wearing heels tomorrow because of it. I'm going to look like an ol' hag anyway with all this stress.

tony and SFG, I actually like the shorter days...I am too wound up at night if it's light out and can't get to sleep until midnight...then I'm always up early regardless of what time I go to sleep. I also like it lighter in the morning but don't care as much about evening.

bopper...thanks for prayers...we need them! {#emotions_dlg.unsure} Will have to address ds's issues next week, I'm even thinking of going up there. Would love a week to catch up after this past month though...ugh.

FUTURE...I went shopping for dresses yesterday, only saw one Calvin Klein one at Dillard's that I liked but I didn't "LOVE" it so I passed. It was on sale though.

Waving to everyone. Not sure what the next couple of days hold for us. I'm just enjoying my calm before the storm right now. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Tony, the other day when you mentioned CLX and the Firm, I wondered if you still do JM BR sometimes. And now, you're thinking it soon might be time to get back into it. Cool! I like BR...even though I have to modify impact and twisty stuff.

Patty, wishing you and family a wonderful time while you're all together. Prayers for DS, I know you'll be so happy to see him. I hope tomorrow is an awesome day for all. Enjoy the weekend, too.

I've been crazy busy today, but I think I'll be able to leave work on time. Will do TG tonight. My back muscles were a bit sore this morning, but are fine now. Time to give them another workout.

Hi Bopper and Honny, SFG. Have a great evening.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hey all, it's 63 here but it is 92% humidity. I did KCM lower body today along with bi's and tri's and Abs with lots of planks..then this afternoon I dragged brush around in the yard and burned a brush pile most of the afternoon.

Grilled burgers tonight and it was sooo good!

Yes Fall is right around the corner. School doesn't start here until the day after Labor Day.

Good job nomless! I know you always work hard.

SF girl I don't like the darkness either...I notice it at night and in the morning now.

Pppmint thinking of all of you during this special moment for DH! Blessings to all of you.

FUTURE you doin OK?

Tony waiving

Alrighty time to get my kitchen cleaned up. Have a good evening all.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Morning, checking in with 45 minutes of treadmill intervals....wasn't feeling real energetic but I got it done non the less.

Thinking of PPpmint and her hubby today on this Special day for their family {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Nomless it's the weekend!! Horray....hope you get to do something fun.

FUTURE any fun plans for you this weekend. It's very muggy here. It isn't hot by any means only in the 60's but this humidity wears me out.

SanFran what do you have planned to do today?

Honny trails today or is it to hot and muggy there too?

I have nothing much on my agenda...tomorrow is our annual Harbor Fest at the lake so after hubby is done working we'll walk around down their. If nothing else I like to people watch!Wink

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!

Yesterday, I did a trail with my weighted backpack. It started raining, so I cut it short. I got 30 minutes in.

53 seconds of planks last night.

Today, will be cardio OnDemand. I found a few workouts I like a lot.

bopper, it's never too hot or muggy for a trail!

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi, everyon, TGIF!!! I'm so glad. I think tonight will be a rest night for me. I'd like to go home and curl up on the sofa with my book.

Honny, my OnDemand doesn't have any fitness things anymore. After ExerciseTV died, nothing replaced it. You're lucky you have some choices.

Patty, I've been thinking about you and family today. I hope you're having a great time and that DS is doing OK after traveling. I hope DH's speech was good and you all can now relax and have some fun together. Lots of good wishes.

Hi, Bopper, I hope and Logan are having a good day too.

Tony and Future, happy weekend!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone! Patty- good luck to you on all counts, on levels! Honny-good going- even with the rain! Nomless- yup, as soon as my schedule levels off I will be pulling out BR. Did you get on the sofa with that book? That is my idea of a good time and why I w/o so little, cannot put a good book down. Future- busy weekend? Bopper- I was reading our local paper, a doctor from town ( and one that I have met professionally through the years)- has written a book about your upper peninsula. He isoriginally from Highland Park, came to Massachusetts- worked and retired. He was asked to go to Hancock to fill in temporarily a few years ago. After coming back to Mass. He decided to write the book-if interested, his name is Philp Howard. Our paper is a little dinky dink so I think the reporter forgot to note the name of the book! Anyway, it sounds like it has a lot of history. gotta work the weekend so ..no W/O. Have a great weekend!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

I got home earlier than usual, so I did a cardio workout. Now it's time for dinner, then the sofa and a book.....with no guilty feelings!
