Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good morning!  Today is my rest day.  Not much to report.  I'm at work so better get a move on and do something productive.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hey everyone, it's been a busy run around day and I can't belive we are approaching 5 pm.   I went shopping early, got stuff for dad, ran other errands, came home put it away, and had 2 calls to make, I didn't feel like doing TG but I am doing this challenge and I was going to do it and I most certainly did!  Super sweaty mess, then showered, made lunch, walked Logan on the trail and the humidity is better but it's hot again.

MickD I could not live there, I am terrified of snakes, I'll take the bear over that any day!  This is the time Logan gets his foot allergy too so waiting to see if it comes this year but it has every year almost to the day, then he has to go on Prednisone, he bites his feet until they are pink and I don't want that to happen.

Hubby just pulled in so better get dinner going,  Laura so glad you have a house and yes make a workout corner for yourself and maybe you can ditch the class with the weirdo people.

Judy sorry about your eye, you have had a lot the last couple months, I hope everything clears up fast.

I just made my Mamm appt. for September, hate going but always do it.

Have a great evening everyone!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@bopper - think you have me confused with foxxie - my eye is fine but thank you for being concerned.

I got a recorded call, not a live person, today from AT&T saying my account was going to  be blocked.  It was a scam so be careful.  If you get a phone call like that, hang up and do not do what they ask.  I hung up immediately because I knew my acct was paid up so there shouldn't have been any problems.  Called AT&T this evening and was assured my account is fine.  Just thought I'd pass it on in case anyone else gets a call like that.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone!  Beautiful day on the horizon.

My final and third birthday celebration is today. One was with hubby, one was with my first Red Hatter chapter and this is with my second Red Hatter chapter.  There will be 18 of us meeting and since I made the arrangements, I hope all goes well.  There was a time that a chosen  restaurant claimed no reservation was made and we ended up being scattered all over the restaurant and another time, a restaurant in question claimed that they don't accept separate checks when several of us had been there with other people and separate checks were accepted.  Well I've confirmed details at this restaurant twice!  After today, birthday eating is over and their signature carrot cake that I bring home will go into the freezer to eat at a later date (I hope).

I exercised well over an hour at home yesterday including 20 rounds up and down my stairs.  Today, I doubt if I do any and tomorrow I have to go to a funeral.  I really hate going two days in a row without working out but.......

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Did my Power class this morning and felt really good.  I was swinging that bar and weights like the Hulk.  I've been on a new diet and vitamin regimen and I think with guests gone and being back in routine I'm feeling the benefits.

Took the day off work so I can shop a bit for food and home goods and I am also going to try and set up my new exercise stuff and some other feel good strategies I want to employ now that I have the space.

Have a great Thursday all!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hey everyone, did my TG challenge again this morning, super sweaty workout but I am getting it done.  Yet when I put on my clothes I feel so fat and blobby, and have rolls and a gut....Uggggggg  and I work hard....I know it's most likely diet related and it's my own fault, I don't even eat bad, but I could eat better but I guess it is what it is...just have to focus on health and the benefits I am getting from that right?

It's hot again, just was outside and ick....turned on the AC

Foxxie, sounds like a busy summer for you thus far, you'll get back on track, carrot cake sounds so good!

Laura glad you ahve the day off to get some home stuff done, you are in your groove again!

Nomless thinking of you, check in when you are able.

MickD stay safe with the rattle snakes....

DrKelli hope your Thursday is going well for you.

Judy how is the eye doing?

Lucy even though you are not here, you are not forgotten, have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good morning!  Checking in real quick while I have a break at work.  Did a 40 minute work out this morning - had sweat dripping off my hair.  Goodness be.  Usually don't have time for more than a 30 minute workout but thinking if I rearrange my morning a little bit I might be able to do 40-45 minutes, which is what I would like to do.

Anyway, workout done today and now I'd better get to work.  Enjoy your day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Happy Thursday fellow exercise bandits!

@Mmsfoxxie Have fun at birthday #3 party!  Hopefully no problems with seating or service!

@Laura14 Are you going to continue with the gym or phase to a home gym?

@bopper our a.c. has been tripping a breaker and every other day I need to get to the box.  It's outside near some hedges. Yesterday I was really looking out for snakes....they're literally everywhere this year.  I never gave it a thought before.

Ran 3.5mi/43min on the treadmill.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@MickD  There are less than ten people left I think on the partnership my employer had with the local gym so I expect it to go away soon.  I am shocked she hasn't pulled the plug yet.  I have gotten a free membership all these years because I send the check and their reps also have two free memberships with us that are worth way more but I always liked to be prepared and I honestly am down to only 3 classes a week there.  I'd much rather get going again on my own.

I have a bike, kickbox bag, and some weights and now that I have the space I can really start kicking it up this Fall.   I am way too stressed and anxious and need a me space to get through the rest of my life.  I know I have some tough, tough days coming so anything I can do to support myself physically and mentally needs to start now.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@Laura14 It sounds like a plan!  I think you'll be a lot more efficient with a home gym, and it is time-saving too.....not to mention a stress free environment.

We converted our 1 car garage into a gym (as it was really small even for my little car).  I love it.  We have a treadclimber, treadmill, total gym, and free weights.  Now with a pool/swim jets.....total gym package at home.

I'm the type of person that needs my solitude when I run/workout.  I don't even like running with a lot of people on the trail....breaks my rhythm.

I will miss Nudie and Adonis reports!
