Did 2.5 mi/32.25 min on the treadmill.

@nomless I haven't been to DSW since my foot problem....I love that store!  I have a couple 3 inch heels that I picked out online.....for a shindig at the end of May...I am tired of wearing running shoes everywhere!

@bopper @Iluvlucy I got the floor done this am.....under the fridge...WOoHOo!  First floor done!  I think I started that sucker in February????  I will post a pic when it's sunny....too cloudy now!  Now on to more cleaning!

@DrKelli @Mmsfoxxie I have to purge stuff too...I am holding on to quite a few pairs of smaaaaaaall jeans and tops that I will never get into.....I need to cleanse my ego and get rid of that stuff!!!!  Anyone wear 0,2,4???  Give me a break!!!!  My goal is an 8 maybe 6 now!

Have a great Monday everyone!!!!!!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Hey everyone, got out early and walked and then did the reformer .   Trail was was this afternoon and so wet I need my high sloggers or I can't get through.  And more rain for the next 3 days....better take a boat next time!

They even said chance of snow on Thursday, we've had snow in May so it's not like it's out of character here but I"d prefer NOT!

MickD I hear ya on the shoes too, I wish I could wear more higher heels but my feet hurt too.    Good job on the grout, now on to the next project.   Your a cleaning machine!

Nomless hope you find some shoes that work for you, it sure is hard.  I especially can't find much wearing a 10.5 size ( hardly anyone ever carries that size)

Lucy thinking about you, hope your week goes okay for you.   How is Lucy doing?

Dr.Kelli and foxxie keep going, seems everyone has aches and pains but we all plug along the best we can.

I really have not much more news so will say so long for now!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Mick, yay for the work you've completed!

Bopper, be careful on the muddy trail.

Podiatrist took x-rays to be sure the bone is not causing the problem. It isn't. She took some of the callus off and gave me cushions to use which should help. She isn't concerned and thinks it will heal on its own. I just have to baby it as I've been doing and be patient. I'm relieved to know there's no infection or other bad thing going on.

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Great morning everybody.  A beautiful weather day is expected here today.  Tomorrow afternoon might be another story, lol, but I'm thankful for today.

@nomless, I know the removal of the callus solves your problem.  It must have been a pretty stubborn one.

@DrKelli, gee, that's a lot of routines to remember!  And you have  a schedule that sounds somewhat erratic.  My instructor that was on vacation last week gave back yesterday.  I and others told him that he can't take any more vacations this year.  That's how much we missed him.  He makes the classes fun for people like me that don't really love exercising.  I tolerate it and he makes the time go by faster cause we smile/laugh through it.

Ladies I can only wear heels two inches or lower unless they are the platform type where the shoe might be three or more inches high but because of the platform, it feels like two or one and a half inches.  Arthritis in my feet and walking in them affects my knees.  I've several nice three inch or more dress shoes in the closet that I haven't let go of yet.

Take care everyone.

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Hello, a beautiful weather day here too and I haven't been able to say that for a while.   It;s 70 out!   I've been out most of the day as tomorrow and Thursday lower 30's and rain/snow.   Yes you read it right  LOL   tis how we roll here!

Did 3 miles outside today and about 40 on the reformer, than a trail walk.  It isn't isolated really, the subdivision is right near the trail I use but it is muddy.  Wore my tall sloggers again.  I have to or I can't get through in some areas.   Logan doesn't mind and he knows enough to stay out of the mud, he goes way around where it's hard for me with downed trees and stuff.

nomless glad your got good news on the feet and the callus was removed.  I bought some Earth Origin sandals and they are really comfortable.  My 1st pair of Earth.

foxxie glad you have nice weather too, sounds like you and I will be getting the rain tomorrow into the rest of the week.

Dr.Kelli keep on keepin on!

lucy thinking of you!

Time for dinner, grilling chicken....I've been marinating it all afternoon so it should be good.

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  Yes, @bopper, it's going to be a wet, dreary week.  As long as it isn't torrential rain, I can deal with it.  This weekend is supposed to be worse but I'm hoping Saturday evening is dry since we have dinner plans with friends.

Well, I'm glad that where you walk isn't isolated.  I had visions of you walking along a trail where no one can see or hear you if trouble arises.

Well, I hope everyone enjoys their day, sunny or dreary.  I'm just going to walk a couple of miles and call it a day.  Enjoy!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Hello, well Spring/Summer has come and gone and winter weather advisory for tomorrow  ....It was nice though.

I did 40 minutes on treadmill and 35 on reformer and then did the trail this afternoon in between the rain drops.  Glad I went when I did, pouring again and thankful for my slogger boots.

The trail isn't visible to anyone but it isn't far from homes either and I have my phone and Logan.

MickD you got that right bugs are next.  Yesterday when we hit 70 the black flies ( those little tiny ones that go to your head) were out.  Doesn't take much here and now we have all the standing puddles and water, mosquito's will be next.  It does ruin it for sure.

Nomless if you find some comfortable shoes, please tell.  I'm glad though what you found in the closet is working for you.

Lucy hoping your week out of town is going well for you and your having some fun.

foxxie we have the same week here as you.  Dance in the rain!!

Have a good evening everyone!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

@bopper, we are having similar weather as you.  No snow, though, I think we're done with that. It rained all night but I have to admit, the sound was soothing.  Nothing harsh like thunder and lightning.  It's a light drizzle right now and expected to be light to moderate all day.  As long as it's not torrential, it doesn't interfere with me going out and about.

Well, how is everyone doing?  Anybody going on vacation this year?  Last June, we took a very expensive vacation for our 10th anniversary but this year will be quiet.  I'm more afraid of flying than ever.

My husband's birthday is in May...he will be 70 years old.  I wish that I could give an invitation only party for him at some nice restaurant but it's not in the budget.  A friend of ours gave herself a beautiful (expensive) 75 th birthday celebration a couple of months ago.  About 75 to 100 people.  Had to cost a pretty penny.  I don't think we know that many people, lol.

No scheduled classes at the center so I probably will just walk the track today.  I'm gonna get gas and do grocery shopping first.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Weather has been crazy, right? Like you, Bopper, it's gotten cold here again. Highs in the 40's and 50's instead of 70's and lows down to 32. Last night I was so cold, I couldn't sleep. I finally got up and put on my fleece jammies!

Callus isn't gone, but it's much better. The new shoes worked well on Tuesday...I got to ugh my shift without me feet hurting. Bopper, you asked what shoe brands I like......If you ever come across BZees, give them a try. They have good support, but are cushy at the same time. It's my favorite brand, but they are difficult to find in retail stores. Here, DSW and Dillard's have a few styles.

Life has been crazy here, but all is good. I hope the same is true for all our friends here. 😊
