What a lovely image! May I follow along and see what everyone's doing for exercise? It may motivate me to do more of what gives me the best results - Pilates. Smiley Wink

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Hi, everyone. Happy April.

I will have breakfast with a friend today, then a grocery run, a workout this afternoon, and a craft show this evening.  It's so nice to have Fridays off work.  I'm a lucky girl!

Make it a good day!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Happy April 1st everyone!   It's finally here!   Now if my weather would catch up to the April weather that indicates Spring I'd be a happy camper.   We're in the low 30's and temps are going to drop to the 20's with snow for the entire weekend into the beginning of next week!   Sigh..............

I just did 15 miles on my Proform Xbike...and now need to do some cleaning.

Pilates welcome and for sure post your workouts.  We love having new folks tell us what they enjoy doing and we all help each other.

Nomless cool that you had a nice Friday off to do what "you" want.  Sounds like a fun filled day!

Laura you can always post your feelings and thoughs here, that's why we are here.  It isn't just about exercise it's about "life" and we all get thrown curves and we pick ourselves up and carry on.   Never feel you can't say what's on your mind!  I hope today is better for you.

We woke up to sun and blue skies and that was at 8 am and now it's 10:46 am and it's all cloudy  Smiley Sad

Well I better get crackin!  Have a blessed day!

Hey I just wanted to pop in and say hi! Haven't been around this thread in FOREVER and I wanted to let my friends here know that I graduated last May with a degree in nutrition and exercise sciences, and for the past 5 months I've been working as a personal trainer! My clients range from age 30 to 70+, I have one client with Down Syndrome and another who is participating in the Ms New York Senior America pageant this weekend. I am loving every minute of my new career!

@NoTan4Me, it's so good to see you.  Thanks for posting an update.   I remember when you started your program.   Congratulations on its completion!!  How great that you're now a PT, putting your passion to work.  That's too awesome for words.  If you were in my area, I'd become a client for sure.  Stop in whenever you can.  I'd love to see updates about what you're up to.

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!

Bopper - you seem good. I see you are sending snow to me- thank you!

nomless- you did have a nice Friday! How was the craft fair! I'm hoping your job is staying steady and safe.

Laura- listen to bopper and nomless- friends never mind venting! I do hope you feel better real soon!

Notan- congratulations! Nothing is better than a job you like!

So, I am still an erratic exerciser. I have been walking- when the weather cooperates, I have been doing The Firm, chalean and some Jillian. nothing consistent, tho.  My 12 hour shifts which are really 18 hour days  are just lost days . I leave at 5am and lucky to be home by 8:30-9:00.

I keep up with posts but for some reason the QVC site on my iPad has become annoying.  I get a bunch of QVCs across the top of the page and then a full table of contents of products- I have to scroll way down to get to the forum. Sometimes if I move to a different topic, I have to scroll all the way down again. Since I am not a patient person, I have to be geared up for the extra effort.

Anyway, , I am glad you are all still there and do continue to give incentive - even if I do lack initiative!

I did too many sit ups last night and woke up with a lower backache.

Hopefully, it feels better later as I want to get in a good workout on the treadmill.
