Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Hello Monday!   Well kids, it's snowing.  Lucy want to come visit, we are cold!  Yesterday was cold rain and fog and now we're in lower 30's and lightly snowing.

Did reformer today and trying to sort out my closet, I don't even know where to begin.  Seriously I need intervention and I need to part with things I haven't worn in more than a year.

Lucy good luck to DH at his interview, he'll crush it!   Sorry too it was so hot there, we're far from that temp.  We we usually don't even hit 80 until June.  We've had ice on the lake even in June.  Enjoy your week away and hope you can relax.

Nomless hope you were able to have an enjoyable weekend and Easter and the library isn't too busy today.  I cut some of my yoga mat and made insoles for my workout shoes.  It feels much better, just traced the old insole out of the mat and viola!

Dr.Kelli your week sounds busy at the plant, I hope you can squeeze in some fun time too.

Foxxie I'd have busted a rib laughing, it's hard to contain it isn't it?

Going to take Loga out now, have a great rest of your day!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Bopper, bummer that you had snow again.

Lucy, will send good vibes to DH for his interview. Like Bopper said, I think he'll crush it. Let us know how it goes.

I got one doc appt done yesterday....just a routine check, but I was worried about it. All was well...whew! One thing off my mind.

I found a pair of sandals I can wear that doesn't make my foot hurt. Yay! Can't wear 'em to work, though - would be bad news if I dropped books on my toes or ran a book cart over them, and no doubt I would, lol.

Hi to Foxxie, DrKelli, Mick. Enjoy your day.

Oh....one more thing. Like all of us, probably, I've been following the news about the hunt for the Facebook killer. Having watched the show Hunted last winter about trackers trying to find teams of contestants trying to evade them, I'm surprised they haven't found this guy yet. Hunted gave lots of info about how tracking can be done - it's not easy to avoid authorities who are looking for you. One difference, though, is Hunted was done in a 4 state area, and this guy could be anywhere. Makes the job a lot tougher, I guess.

ETA:  And only a couple of hours after posting this, it's over. Good job, PSP and others.

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Hi all, this morning was my Proform X bike for 35 minutes and 35 on the reformer.   Then took a dog walk on the trail.   Sure is muddy and wet back there, some places I can hardly get around the water and mud.

MickD Happy be-lated Birthday, hope it was good!

Nomless glad you found some sandals.   Did you ever check out the ones Lucy mention by Bear Traps with the rebounding technolgy?   I'd still like to try those.

The FB killer I heard has been found dead if it's true.  Sounded like they were closing in on him.  Horrible story, that poor old man and then the others he said he killed.  Our world is becoming very scary.

Lucy have fun today whatever you do!

foxxie you doing okay today?

Dr.Kelli waving to you, hope your week is good!

We well everyone!

Did 2.5 mi/32 min on the treadmill.  Thanks for all the birthday wishes!  I would really like to up my workouts to longer or 4x/week.  I am almost done with the downstairs grout....then spring cleaning...so I'll see what I can do....don't wanna injure anything else!  We have a bar mitzvah at the end of may....I ordered a few things from white house black market.....so need to see what I can squeeze into!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Good morning group.  Hope all is fairly well with you all.  I can see overall that we have issues going on but, yea, things aren't too bad, right?  Everyone is keeping up with their workout routine which is great.  All of you more than me, lol, but I'm doing my best.

I didnt adhere completely to schedule yesterday because there was a substitute for my flexibility class that I was afraid might throw in some yoga moves.  It's hard to do flexibility without throwing some in I guess.  When my instructor comes back from vacation I'm going to tell him that he can't take anymore vacations, lol.  Maybe not.  His sense of humor might not go that far.

Feeling lethargic today.  I only slept about two hours Monday night and tried to make up for it last night but didn't quite make it.

I'm going to do my walk this morning and call it a day.  Enjoy your day.

Happy Hump Day!  Where's Laura...has she been around at all?  Hope she's okay.

DH's interview went exceptionally well..thank-you!  Meeting with them next week.  Not sure how we're going to squeeze everything in as we are meeting with builders and looking at land, but we'll just have to make it work with late nights and early mornings.

Our friends will be driving home from MI so are going to meet us at our hotel to spend the night with us. Haven't seen them for months so that will be nice.

I did 5-miles on the treadmill yesterday in 46:08.  That's a huge feat for me as I hate doing much on the treadmill other than speed-work. I did a short bike-ride and 2 miles outside but could smell the pollen and see it all over the place.

Also worked out with dh early yesterday morning...had a good work-out using TRX, weights, bosu, reformer, burpees, jump-rope, power-tower, etc.  We cooled down with 10 minutes of yoga/stretching.

Doing chores now, then yoga, pilates, and power-walk(not going to run every day, my sciatica woke me up a lot last night).  Have a great day everyone!!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Thread

Mick, you're still working on that grout?! Ugh. You have lots more patience than I.

Foxxie, yep, favorites shouldn'the be allowed vacations, lol.

Lucy, yay that DH has a second round of interviewing planned. Fingers crossed it works out. BTW, I've seen Laura on other threads. I'm sorry she abandoned us. I enjoyed her posts.

Bopper, the sandals that feel good are from my closet, have had them for years. It was a happy surprise to find something in my closet that feels good on my sore feet.

I found a bedspread I'd like to use in my bedroom for summer, but it doesn't go with my drapes at all. Colors in the spread are blues, yellow, green, pink; my drapes are red. Oh, dear. Do I pass on the bedspread, or get it and put up with the mismatch for the few months of summer, or get the bedspread and also invest in another set of drapes?? Ugh. I'm not good at making decsions. I think I'm leaning toward getting the spread and redoing the drapes. I would get the drapes at Kohls (love the ones I have that came from Kohls....I would get the same kind, different color)) so would wait for a sale and coupons.....
