Hey everyone, it's finally 70 here! Can you belive it! It's 70!!!!!!!!!!!! Hubby said I'm hot! Too funny, I said isn't it great!
I walked 4.5 today outside, and then came in and ate some Quinoa salad I made and we are sweeping sand out of the garage and putting the snow blower away and bringin the rakes in. Got my bike down, so have to put air in my tires and I can roll again with that.
Sounds like everyone is on the mend, which is awesome!
Nomless thank you for letting me know about that. I am looking it up. I have some things I"m paying off right now so not sure I can swing it but I'm keeping it in mind for sure. Can you cook quinoa in that too?
Patty your area sounds so perfect for all of you! How fun!
Pilates, Judy and Laura glad everyone is doing better with injuries,,we all muddle through don't we.
Okay back outside, going to my sons for dinner tonight and I can see my new granddaughter again!

Bopper, yes, the cooker cooks quinoa. There's a quinoa recipe in the cookbook.

YEA Bopper! Sounds like Spring has sprung. So happy for you! Enjoy your granddaughter.
I took today off and have had no pain or discomfort all day so tomorrow no excuses, back at it for me!
Not much else to report. Pretty typical Saturday - appts., errands, laundry, etc. Tomorrow going into San Francisco for brunch with my DD and SIL and his parents. Should be fun.

Watching the Aeropilates show and sure wish I had room for one of those. A pilates machine and/or a TotalGym are two machines I've always wanted. I'd take one or the other, wouldn't need both. But, alas, I don't have room for either so it's wishful thinking. Maybe one day if I get a bigger place or clean out the second bedroom......LOL Thinking of clearing out the second bedroom made me laugh.

Good morning! Got up this morning and did a PiYo workout. Was excited this morning as I was able to go down farther on my pushups! Yea! I'm getting stronger! I had to laugh cuz when I first started and she said to do a push up, I couldn't even move. I just held the position for about 2 seconds. Slow but sure the progress is made. One thing about being older and working out that I have had to come to accept - my body doesn't respond quite as fast as it did when I was younger. Must have patience and patience is not my strong point but its great when one sees improvement and progress!
Now enjoying a cup of coffee. After brunch this morning, my DD, SIL, and his parents are going to go on a hike. Probably an easy one but it'll be a good walk so will be able to get a little more exercise in.
Its a beautiful day here - hope it is where you all are so you can get outside and enjoy it. Have a blessed Sunday!

Happy Sunday Funday, went 7 miles on my bike outside today. First time outside biking and it was no nice! Then came home and Hubby made me an egg white sandwich with green pepper, tomato, spinach, and cheese...Yum!
Judy it's great your getting stronger, I agree we aren't what we used to be but every advance is awesome! I struggle with pushups too. It's nice here too 60's and it's so welcome.
Nomless thank you, I've been cooking a lot of quinoa...it's so good for you. I haven't ordered it so I hope it doesn't sell out. I just can't do it right now.
Starting to rake and clean the yard and garage, only can do a little at a time as raking kills my back and hubbies, we're a pair!

Oh I have a Total Gym and love mine. I also don't have much room, you can fold it if you are Ok with that.

Oh my! Today went into San Francisco to Ocean Beach and walked a trail along the coast for 1 hour then went and played in the ocean for a little bit and walked on the beach which is a great leg workout. Had a fabulous day though and the weather was beautiful. It was great being with DD and SIL and his parents. We all had a great time. This combined with my PiYo workout this morning and I am tired!

Happy Monday!
We had a full weekend in many ways. Hiking, biking, running, yard-work, got the basement and garage finished, vehicles cleaned, etc. We biked pretty far yesterday, not our furthest by any means, but it was a tough one. Coming home was brutal, those hills are agony! Can't believe dh did that day after day when he worked at the Pentagon...bleck. Got in well over 100 miles this week...over 50 yesterday alone. I need to cut back on my cardio but I love being outside and enjoy those activities...so hard for me!
We had such a beautiful trail run on Saturday, so peaceful(well, until the dog episode but that's a whole other story). Went along the Potomac...Lucy was in heaven.
A little too much sun for me, I didn't feel good by the time I finished mowing the grass. My face was beet red and I'm not one that normally gets that. I think we need to spring for a gas mower, this is quite the work-out.
Back to the weights this morning and not sure what the rest of the day holds. I need a rest-day too, it's been a while and we've been hitting it pretty hard. But it's not going to be today! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is on the mend! I hate this new format where you can't see what anyone posted when you're typing your reply.

Good Morning, well a beautiful weekend we had, and now it's 40! Hahaha,,,oh well, it was actually too hot! Can't belive i am saying that but when you go from 40 to 84, that's hard to adjust too.
I just finished my Xbike and went 15 miles, did 2 rounds with the Bodygym upper body and need to do some chores here in the kitchen. Making a big batch of applesauce and will freeze. Our farmers market sells boxes of bruised apples for 5$ so I always get a few boxes and we make a lot of applesauce.
Sounds like everyone had a great weekend.
Patty, you really had a busy weekend and got lots done at home. Good feeling and can cross that off the list!
Nomless I didn't get the rice cooker but like I said it's on the list!

Greetings everyone! Oh we had lovely weather over the weekend - simply glorious. It felt so good to open some windows and go out for a walk!
I hit Planet Fitness on Saturday and did arc trainer, hit a few weight machines and then cooled down on the treadmill. Yesterday featured walking and yoga.
Someone mentioned the Aero Pilates- oh how I wish there were room for one of them in my house. Some years back I took a Pilates mat/reformer class almost every week and it was heaven for my back. I miss it, but it got to be a real burden on the budget.
