Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Thanks, Patty. 45 min cardio done plus vacuuming. I love my Shark Pro, but it's heavy. Pushing it around is quite a work out.

Est thing you can do.....Now, I am concerned about your conversing with ducks. keepus updated so we can keep eyes on you! Bopper-I am storied of cold, too. It's been dreary and chilly. Enough! Curious story about the 2 sisters stuck for 2 weeks in the upper peninsula. They were very lucky to be found! Patty-fingers crossed for son. In spite of weather, it was a nice weekend. Not having to work made it even better!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Morning all, Another Monday is here and almost out of April!

I just came in from walking 3.5 miles outside. Only 43 outside and windy again but I dress right and it wasn't bad. Then took Logan for a short jaunt to get his energy out.

Tony our temps are supposed to go up this weekend. I heard 60's and some 70's depending on where you are. Yes those 2 ladies are so blessed to have been found and they did the right thing by staying with their vehicle!

Pppmint thinking of DS and hoping his leg is improving. I know you are very worried and it really takes a lot of out you. How is Lucy this morning, little stinker Haha

Nomless did you get to relax at all this past weekend. I know your heart is heavy and missing your friend. Take time and remember your good memories and in time the pain will lessen.

Well I guess it's shower time....Have a great rest of your day!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Well, hi, friends. I don't have any news today. I'll do cardio when I get home.

I took trash down to the trash room this morning as I was leaving for work and saw that someone had put a Tony Little Gazelle there for removal. It was folded all taped up so the legs wouldn't flop all around. If I had had time, I would have checked it out to see if it's in working order and to see if I liked it. I had a similar machine for a long time, Q's XL Glider; I tried very hard to love it, but I just didn't. Without the resistance pistons attached, I couldn't go fast enough to get my hear rate up, and with the pistons on, it was way too hard, so again impossible to get my HR up. I wondered if the Gazelle was more effective, but I didn't have a chance to try it out.

There are no ducks around the office today. I kind of miss them. But Tony, I'm not quacking at or talking to anything today! LOL. If I'm not careful, I might turn into Mrs. Dr. Doolittle, eh?

Patty, I hope DS is doing better, and that your ear is OK.

I hope it gets warmer where you are, Bopper and Tony! It's time you guys get to feel the lovely spring air.

Will watch DWTS tonight....but I admit to getting tired of hearing about the Kym / Robert H romance.

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Sorry about your friend Nomless, my heart goes out to you. I lost my Mom the end of November and one of my sheps in February. Even when I manage to have a good day, it's really not. I feel better when I exercise, but can get real irritated if I feel good so I won't exercise if that makes any sense. Those that loved us wouldn't want us tripping over ourselves feeling miserable - there's that.

Patty, you and your son get better. Bopper get warmer. Tony keep motivating, you're sweet.

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Hi Everyone! Nomless-too bad you did not have time to check out the gazelle! I am glad you are monitoring your quack conversations. It's funny about Robert H - when I saw him on SharkTannk with the long hair- I made a comment wondering if he was having his midlife crisis! She sounds like she has been involved with all of her partners. oh well. Patty-hope you had good news today. Bopper- our weather is mirroring yours- not great til the weekend, either. Let's hope Mayisthe turning point! Canine- it's so true , our loved ones would not want us to feel miserable. They surely would tell us to live, not mope; cherish memories and not what ifs and be grateful that we all shared life. Sad moments will never go away, some worse than others. Anyway- here's May!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

nomless....hope your ducks are back so you can enjoy some witty banter. Our power went out last night and after I got my bearings about me and found the flashlight, I checked on Momma Bird. She was still on her post. We talk through the window every morning.

canine...so sorry. Two huge losses. I was looking at pictures of my Zoe-girl yesterday, the pain never goes away.

Tony and bopper....he said it seemed better yesterday, not as purple. I'll take what I can get. Thanks to everyone for prayers and well-wishes.

DH played softball last night and didn't get home until 11:30. We went to sleep after 1. Have company coming for dinner tonight. It's actually DH's old weight-lifting buddy from years ago.

My gf did 3 Double-Unders in a row yesterday at CF, she was ecstatic. I'm telling you, she is the CF Queen...lol. I'm so darn proud of her.

My shoulder was killing me in bed last night...I'm thinking either I get the surgery I need, or my days of heavy-lifting are over. Between my ripped hamstring and my shoulders, I'm pretty limited.

Anyway, sun is out, supposed to be 70* today, warmest day we've had in some time. Windy, but that's life along the water. My running buddy and I will head out soon.
