Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Morning, sunny day here and it was cold 27 degrees here this morning. The grass is still white in shaded areas!!

Did my grocery shopping and Chiro....walking after....i really need a nap,,slept all of about 3 hours of that....just felt wired and not tired....hate nights like that and of course it's a morning I had an appointment.

Pppmint so glad she is home and it's all behind you now...yes she will be unhappy she can't go on her jaunts but it is important for her to completely recover..she'll be mad but she'll get over it...As soon as she can get in her carrier she'll be happy again to bike. Sending prayers to you and DS....

Nomless glad you did your TG...I think I'll just walk today...Chiro said I am all knotted up in my upper back and my chest muscles are very tight..he wants me to roll on the foam roller more and do more stretching such as yoga and pilates so I have to make a real effort to do it more....it's just so slow..i have a hard time but i will do it.

FUTURE hope you get a workout in and a walk today...Do you like your Pilates Reformer? I have the original one they sold eons ago, the burgundy one...would like to upgrade at some point with the new cords that don't have to be tied to the handles to adjust!

Well better get moving here...Have a good day!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone! I was way more than MIA this time! I kinda fell off working out and using computer. No reason and no excuse. Life remains fine- no changes, no issues ... I just caught up on posts. Everyone sounds good, still working out and carrying on. I'm glad to see that. Thank you for looking for me- made me feel sad that I disappeared and glad that I have such good friends. Thank you! As I said- not any working out to speak of- maybe 1-2 times a week. No effort. Oh well, I guess I will have a talk with myself to get going! So, hi all, I did missed you and thank you! Tony

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hey, all! Good to see you, Tony! Smiley Wink Bopper, I love my reformer. I have had it for a few years, but for a while it was packed up bc we didn't have room for it. I'm trying to use it 2-3 times a week now, and it's a good workout. I did it today, actually! Also took the pups for about a 1.5 mile walk. Baby boy was in heaven, and baby girl hung in there like a champ. Speaking of, Patty, glad the surgery went well. Both of ours are poodle mixes and we did the tooth pull/fix 'me combo. It was soooooo difficult to keep them still for a few days and especially to not jump up and down off "their" chair. Hope you can keep little miss Lucy chill for a bit. Smiley Wink Nomless, glad you found some cute decorations. Marshall's and TJ both had some SUPER cute Christmas stuff when I was there last weekend -- I had to restrain myself!!! Lol!! Ok, I'm going to watch a little tv and hit the hay. I actually slept pretty well last night, but I was still really tired today, so I need to get to bed so I can (hopefully) wake up for spin tmrw am. Have a nice night. Everyone!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

FUTURE...TJMaxx and Marshall's has the best stuff this year! I have been to both places in the past week...we have a huge TJMaxx-N-More here and the Marshall's by the base is a really good one too. I've had soooo many baby gifts to buy...ay...still have one more.

So windy here yesterday...had to use the restrictions on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge....over 40mph winds....no motorcycles allowed again today. So I didn't go running this morning, still around 30mph, but tonight is exercise class at church and I'll do some weights again today.

And, yes, we're having trouble trying to keep her still!!! She's jumped off the couch twice and jumped up on it once...ay. She really is a tough cookie, the vet tech said she's the strongest 4 lbs they've ever seen and it's true.

Good to see you Tony! Nomless, sounds like you were in heaven at Kirkland's! Bopper...I hope you slept last night, I had about 2 hours sleep the night before with Lucy, I think it was Saturday morning I woke up at 2 and never went back to sleep, actually got up for the day, and last night I woke up and tossed and turned all night long for no reason...so annoying. Anything new with your dad?

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hey all, not to bad here today, about 47 and overcast but I did Yoga this morning as the Chiropractor said more stretching and I also walked Logan outside...walked on a road that leads to the golf course, a gravel rode and the farm off the side of the road raises buffalo so that was cool to see. Wish I had a camera to take their picture..also a donkey and 2 goats....Logan I don't think noticed the buffalo as he didn't bark and he would bark if he had seen them. I don't want him frightening them though so that was good. It was a nice walk with no cars as the golf course is closed for the season...

Tony, Tony, Tony so glad you posted....hey don't beat yourself up over not working out, we all get in ruts...and never doubt we do miss you {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}just start back slowly and do whatever makes you happy..

FUTURE glad you love your Pilates machine,,,where do you keep yours? I have mine in the basement, wish it was upstairs as I know I"d get on it more often...still wish I had the newer one, maybe someday I can upgrade..

Nomless Glad you had fun in Kirklands. That's one place I go to when I go down to Green Bay...we don't have any of the mentioned stores here so it's a treat to go down to see the other ones. I bet you could spend a bundle in there haha I think we going together could cause some damage! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Pppmint that little girl of yours sure is spunky! Hope you can get her to settle down until she is all healed up..that's hard to do when they want to jump, run and play! I did sleep better thanks but have an ongoing headache and I think it is from the weather changing, I always get bothered in the Fall and my hubby mentioned the same thing. Allergies to something probably...

Waving to all our friends!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Happy Thursday!! Going to spin this evening -- I need it! Hubby needs me to iron a few shirts, so I'll do that before I head out. Bopper, we have an exercise room upstairs, so we keep it up there. It has our treadmill, free weights, bench, and Pilates machine in it. Now we both just have to get up there more. I use the treadmill least - hubby uses it most. I would rather be outside!! Hope your dad is doing better, bopper. Thinking of you both!! Patty, both of ours were up and down the next day after surgery, and they were both fine. There's really only so much you can do!! Ok, I need to get to ironing -- my least favorite chore, so I'm going to have to crank some tunes or watch tv! Have a good night, everyone!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hey all Happy Friday! This morning I did Pilates Reformer/ TG/ and 5 miles on the bike...followed with Yoga stretches...will do a trail walk after lunch, supposed to be mid 50's today and tomorrow before a big change next week! I'm afraid the "change" will be here until May! {#emotions_dlg.sad}

FUTURE that's great you can have a room devoted to all the equipment...Not a fan of ironing either! Thank you regarding my dad, he went to the dr. and nothing too serious so just day by day...but was told it's a virus....

Pppmint hoping Lucy is behaving herself! It's hard when they want to play and yet we know they have to stay relatively quiet!

nomless hoping your day goes by fast and you can get home and have a great weekend!

Waving to everyone!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Well, heck, another day's gone by and no time for posting until now. It's been crazy here. I missed my workout last night, not sure if I'll be able to get one in tonight, and this weekend looks like it will be busy. Ugh.

Hi, Bopper, I hope you haven't seen any more bears. I worry about you going on the trail ...

Future, how awesome you have an exercise room! I'd love to have one. Have a good weekend.

Patty, I hope Lucy is feeling OK and following doctor's orders, but I'm guessing she's not happy about reduced activity. I hope you're having some success keeping her quiet.

Tomorrow I'm meeting a friend I haven't seen in a couple of years. She used to live here, moved away, and is back for a visit this weekend. It will be fun to see her. I'm looking forward to making soup this weekend, too. It's still warm here (mid 70's), but it's October, and that means soup weather to me!

Have a good weekend, everyone.
