Re: Week Four of the NFL Regular Season!!!

The Packers did more than come out of their coma today -- now if they can keep it going.

Re: Week Four of the NFL Regular Season!!!

A good first half for the Eagles defense and special teams. The offense is stuck in neutral, but they'll hopefully get in gear for the second half. Darren Sproles and Malcolm Jenkins are likely two big reasons why the Saints have the record they have this year. Those two guys have been huge acquisitions for the Eagles and they both came from New Orleans where they weren't wanted any longer. You've got to wonder how smart the GM is in New Orleans. Those two guys are beasts.

Re: Week Four of the NFL Regular Season!!!

Ugh! The Eagles' offense never showed up! That was just a miserable performance. The good news is this week we get Lane Johnson back at right offensive tackle which will let Herremans move back to right guard. That should help to shore up the offensive line a bit.

LeSean McCoy would be leading the league in rushing if they counted yards side to side, but unfortunately those yards don't count. For whatever reason he's not planting his foot and turning up the field and is instead just running back and forth along/behind the line of scrimmage. I guess he's trying to break a big play, but you can't force big plays. They just come naturally. Take the three, four yards runs and sooner or later a big hole will open up. He's got running lanes that can get three or four yards, but he's looking to get thirty, forty yard runs and those just aren't there.

Nick Foles was just off today, but he got very little protection too. McCoy's inefficiency at running is getting in his head a bit and affecting his pass blocking. He whiffed on several blitzers in this game and he never whiffs on blitzers. Foles is getting beat to death. It's a good thing the bye is coming up in a few weeks. He'll need it.

We've got the Rams next week and the Giants after that then the bye. Then we run into the Cardinals, Texans and Panthers. About then we could have Jason Kelce back at center and a week or two later Evan Mathis back at left guard. If we can get our five starting offensive linemen back together by week nine or ten we should be pretty good down the stretch. We've just got to survive a few more weeks. That early bye is looking pretty good right now.

Re: Week Four of the NFL Regular Season!!!

I missed the Colts game because I had to work today. (Forgot to tape it.) I had a really bad day at work, so when I got home and checked out the game, I felt better. The team turned out a great performance. Go Colts!

Next week the Ravens come to Lucas Oil Stadium. That will be a good game. Both teams are clicking right now, so who knows what will happen? Some of the games played between the Colts and Ravens have been defensive battles.

What in the heck happened to Pittsburgh? I don't think anyone expected Tampa to win.

I chose Dallas in my football picks today. This was a difficult one because I never know which side will show up on either team. Just went with home field advantage.

San Francisco needed this win. I would hate to see Harbaugh if the 49'ers had lost.

Off to watch SNF.

Re: Week Four of the NFL Regular Season!!!

What is with all these high scoring games this week? I'm watching the Cowboys demolishing the Saints. New Orleans looks lost out there; they have no idea how to stop Dallas. If this continues, Rob Ryan isn't going to stay long as DC. Dallas needs more games like this.

That Steeler defense was horrible in the preseason.

We should have had this game, thanks to Special Teams (been happy with them all season) and Defense! The play calling has been terrible! They should have used McCoy, Maclin or Sproles to take it in on that last 3rd down play.

But McCoy really has been off lately....

Cowboys & Giants have rebounded, and they have offensive weapons that I'm not sure we can defend.

I guess this is going to keep everyone honest in NFC East!

GARDENMAN--- The 49ers/Eagles was a great game to watch .....the best game of the day!

Your offensive line got decimated with injuries.....OUCH!!!! A good running game is indeed a QB's friend and McCoy is off his game.....i.e. see the Cowboys and Murray......and I hate to admit it but Jerry Jones did some good drafting in picking offensive lineman the last 2 years and passing on Manziel---its paying off (although it is still early in the season.....) Although Tony Romo's back is still a thing in question with him skipping practices.....

I could not believe that Cowboys/Saints game---the Saints seem to be on par with my Redskins....what a total domination!

We will see if the Giants are for real...

The NFC East seems to be shaping up as an interesting race (although my Redskins seemed to be doomed and destined for last place once again) {#emotions_dlg.glare}

Hey TEGAN-

I'm so sorry to hear you had a bad day at work---I've been there a few times myself, but your Colts certainly gave you a reason to smile and to help put your work day behind you....!---

The Ravens/Colts should be a great game next week!

A LOT of surprises this weekend---

That Vikings performance with a rookie QB and without AD--the Falcons IMPLODE!-WOW!!!!

The Cowboys demolish the Saints!---DOUBLE WOW!

And Tampa Bay isn't dead afterall----

Tough battle between Bills/Texans---JJ Watt should be considered for MVP---now if he can just do something about the humidity and traffic in Houston...{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Jay Cutler was just AWFUL---and Aaron Rodgers proved why the Cheeseheads should be able to relax more easily......

49ers/Eagles--GREAT GAME!

And the Chargers just rolled along---watch out for them....

It seems it's going to be a fun and unpredictable season this year!

CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS!

The 3 teams he cheers for are (1) The Redskins, (2) Whoever is playing Dallas, and (3) Whoever is playing the Titans. No matter how rough the season goes, he wears his Redskins jersey and prays for a victory. Come on 'Skins, pull it together!!

Hi vandyfan and welcome.....

Redskin fan here too----we can cry on each others shoulders.......and #1 and #2 on your list I totally agree with {#emotions_dlg.laugh}.....but am neutral on Texans and Titans....
