Many years ago I signed up to get texts when my refills are ready. Today I got one and was shocked. One of my regular meds was HALF the price it was 3 months ago.
Called the pharmacy to verify that it IS for the usual 90 days and it is. I told the woman I talked to that it was half price from 3 months ago and she said "lucky you!" and we both laughed. I really needed some positive news today..

It's a big surprise for me if I get one of those texts telling me my refill is ready. I'm also supposed to be on automatic refills, but that's been messed up for awhile too. Hopefully, I've finally gotten that one fixed.

@Love my grandkidsMy husbands pharmacy costs went down when our health insurance supplemented him with medicare. Also we are charged less when only the generic is available.

@haddon9 No. I didn't ask! I don't really care to tell you the truth, just glad for the change. It's a generic as most of mine are and now and then the price goes down by never by 50%.

When I retired I had a very good medical plan because my union always fought for good health benefits. Between that and medicare I am fortunate . My experience.

@Love my grandkids: I'd say lucky you as well. Many of my friends aren't filling their prescriptions or cutting them in half to stay within their budgets.

I tried auto-refills and had some trouble when I signed them all up. Didn't work right.
They said sign up your prescriptions one at a time. That worked.
