Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hey all, well he came home tonight at 6, the dr. had released him at noon and it took that long to get all the paperwork done.   So glad this is all done, and we are in our own home.   He has tons of appt. now coming up, and med adds and changes, but let the healing begin, and Bopper Uber service begins.   I think it's going to take me a while to get back in my groove and I am allowing myself that time.

@Dazlin thank you so much for the beautiful pictures.  What a peaceful area you are in, I'd love to sit outside and see that now, breath in the fresh air and you have sunshine and grass.  I may have to live through those pic's for a while.

Thank you everyone again for the prayers, we pray all this works for him and no set backs.

Let the journey begin!

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning everyone 🌞🌝...

Yesterday was a great day for me!!   The weather was sunny, breezie, and cool, and I did, 3.94 miles...10,389 steps, 314 calories burned.   It was a 55 minute walk in the morning and another walk at 6pm with my dogs.   1 hour, 42 minutes total, but that includes some walking in and around the house.

Pacer (app)  threw confetti 🎊  on my phone 😁.  I had to laugh.   I'm having to stay on Aleve for pain, but it's helping.  Probably the  injection helps too. Bad bruise still there at site of injection.

@bopper , I just prayed for and your husband 🙏 .

@SouthernBee , glad you enjoyed the pics, and yes, horses, ponies are very therapeutic.  Only thing, once the heat kicks in here, Florida, it really takes a toll on me and them..  they are mother and daughter.   The smaller pony, the paint is the mother of the larger bay mare.  We bought the paint when my daughter was 10...not knowing she was pregnant!!  It was truly an amazing time in my life, and to train and have this foal.

After that we bought this property and built the house here so they could live here.  Boarding was expensive and it's "their" rules.  We boarded for 2 years.

So now, both ponies are in their 20's...and the paint is showing signs of aging...im a bit concerned, but whatever will be.

I'll send more pics...and hope everyone is doing well!

@bopper ...a new adventure for you...go with the flow, pray for strength and patience  🩷

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, we are here and he's comfortable and moving about good.

I even rode the bike this morning for 30 minutes, need my routine back or somewhat like it was.  I won't over do though and I will take quiet time.

@Dazlin thank you for praying, your beautiful ponies!   My sister boards her horse and it is very expensive but they do a lot for her so she doesn't have to come to the barn every day to give meds, release her to the fields and so forth.  Her horse is having uclers and is needing special food and shots.

@SouthernBee thank you for the prayers. I wish it would warm up here, the snow is still on our ground but the neighborhood road is bare, if the sun would come out it would be nice.

Not much else here, just taking it day by day!

@bopper : Everything sounds good.

Today is our Wedding anniversary and I couldn't remember if it was 23 or 24. DH remembered and it's 24. I will be back on the cubii tonight. He gave me two dozen chocolate dipped strawberries from Fresh Market and so much better than Edible arrangements. Plus two dozen pecan divinity from Vermont country store. 🙄😯

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Congrats to @SouthernBee on our anniversary.  Enjoy your treats!

@bopper - Good for you for taking care of yourself this morning with your bike ride. If you don't take care of yourself, mentally and physically, you won't be any good for anyone else.

Just got back from a 30 minute walk - 2,887 steps.  It's a beautiful day here for a walk.  Must have walked a bit faster cuz I'm a little out of breath and a tad sweaty.  LOL  If I'm reading my Fitbit right it says that I got 13 minutes in the aerobic zone.  I'll take it for now.  Knee seems to handle this pace just fine.

Hope your Thursday is going well.

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

@JudyL  Sounds like you knee is getting better and better.. You did well walking yesterday. It all takes time to come together..

 @bopper  ditto what @JudyL  said- you still have to take care of yourself so you can help others. And your routine is exercsiing.Your DH sounds like he is doing well..

  I am gathering items for planting- which wont' be until May - like soil, containers, fertilizer etc..  I can only do container gardening since I live in a townhouse so it's new soil every year.. Yesterday was doing some of that and I got in a nce walk plus workout at the rec center.. I think I am ready to try some hiking-  Maybe next week- weather permitting.

   Getting the snow tires off the car this morning. Almost forgot about it.. Even if we get a late snowstorm now, it'll melt fast.

 Have a good weekend..  I dont' have anything planned yet.. Outside for sure- it may get to 85 tomorrow.. Too soon for that.

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hi, well today was our first little trip to town, I got groceries, while he stopped into his work and did some  paper work, I walked a mile in the cemetery, it was so peacefu, saw a deer, then we got subs and it was sun shiney on my deck so we had a picnic.   The fresh air felt great today.  I'm not going to be doing my usual routines, I just need quiet things for a while so I can also heal myself.

Happy Anniversay @SouthernBee and what a sweet husband you have!

@JudyL it's really getting hot where you are.

@violet runner almost time to get the hiking poles out by the sounds of it.  I heard your area could also reach the mid 80's.   We have snow on the ground still, and in the mid 40's today.

Have a good day everyone!
