Vitamin B12 is the exception to B vitamins in that the body stores a significant level of B12 in the liver, and for years.

The pain they have cost us, the evils that never happened.

Hi, @quilter61, @Moonlady !  I have a different tale.  I was taking Centrum Silver for women and a Hair, Skin and Nails vitamin and had to discontinue both.  Both contained B6 at almost 300% the RDA.  After going to a neurologist, she had me discontinue both.  I had neuropathy in my feet and it exacerbated carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists.  After I discontinued the supplements, the neuropathy in my feet resolved but it took surgery to resolve the carpal tunnel.  My serum B6 levels were 4.5 times the upper limit of normal.  Somehow I was storing a water-soluble vitamin.

Go figure.  Years ago B6 was actually a treatment for neuropathy.

I take vitamin B also and have the worst time finding one that is not way over the recommended daily allowance.  They are usually off the charts.

Was using Sundown but now have switched to Nature Made Super B.

It seems to be trend in supplements that manufacturers keep making higher and higher doses.

I didn't know that.  I have cut down my Vitamin B12 intake due to higher levels found by a blood test so I take one on Monday and one on Thursday.

That said.  I take Vitamin B12 solely for depression.  It helps.
