Check out linoleic acid - it is found in nuts, seeds, vegetable oils. It is the new bad guy in our food. It can even cause problems if the food you eat consumed food that contained it. Makes me glad I have stuck to my belief that grass fed is better for me when many claim it isn’t better than grainfed beef.
I actually have researched it and find that it is beneficial. I've also looked at the benefits of Conjugated Linoleic Acid and take it daily. I won't use bottled vegetable oil or canola oil, but I do use avocado oil, olive oil, bacon grease, and grassfed butter, sometimes coconut oil, in my cooking and baking. I can't alway find it, but I try to get grass fed beef as much as possible. The trick is finding grass fed and grass finished and my sources are limited. I'm excited that I'll be able to get pasture raised eggs this fall.

If you feel the need for a brain supplement, I suggest first making sure you are doing everything you can without a supplement - eating whole foods, low sugar, plenty of healthy fats (no seed oils), getting plenty of sleep, lower stress, etc.
why no seed oil's, @willdob3 ? There are healthy fats in seeds.
Very few seed oils are healthy or processed in a healthy manner. Some cold processed ones might be OK. Almost all processed foods seem to contain unhealthy seed oils and should be avoided. One reason is the amount of omega 6 fatty acids in them.
I’ve heard this for decades but it is really a big talking point in the health and nutrition world right now. I have heard about it from multiple reputable sources. Lots of damage to our bodies from these oils.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Nuts and seeds are excellent sources of healthy fats, omegas, and other beneficial nutrients.
? I never once said that nuts and/or seeds are unhealthy.

You can buy Prevagen on Amazon. Not a prescription. I think the claims made are questionable.

Could'a swore I already gave my opinion when this first went up. Anyhow, like many here have already said, save your money.
Now this is just my self opinion, but I am satisfied with my brain functions. Aside from issues I have had most of my life, I think it could still pass a simple function test.
I like doing mental exercises that keep the ole brain thinking a couple steps ahead before I make any moves. Kinda like when I played a lot of 8-ball pool, think a couple shots ahead of the 1 you are shooting.
Also like to use mental Imagery as I always did before my Road Races, and before playing or reffing my hockey games. Always kept the ole brain working all which a ways. I'll pass on whatever this new discovery is that claims to help the brain.
I think what is needed more nowadays is a pill that speeds the brain function to full maturity sooner. Seems like a lot of young'ens need it get them to personal independence, but who am I to say?
Other than that,
