Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

@AuntG

When the time comes you will love the results.  I am nearsighted also and love not having to put my glasses on as soon as I get up in the morning.  All the best.

Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

@Shelbelle : Thank you. I feel better and calm.

You were very brave to just doing the drops. Wonderful results and not wearing glasses.❤️

Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

@Xivambala : Thanks for sharing your experience and results. Please forgive me for not giving the correct name for the cataract lens.

My doctor explained everything and I appreciate his suggestion. He knows my medical history and special needs. My eyes are very important to me. I chose this expense and will be able to make the payment. I have very good medical insurance for  the other medical expense associated with this surgery.❤️

Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

@cindyNC : Thank you and I understand.

Wearing glasses: my left eye had a thick lens and had to have the fit adjusted regularly.❤️

Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

Nice that you are now done with the pre op visit.  Honestly all those nasty bright lights were worse than the surgery.

Glad you were able get the expensive lenses, I did in one eye and am still happy I did.

One handy thing I was told was to pop out the lense in the glasses after the first surgery so you can see well from the fixed eye and still see with the glasses for the other.  Not ideal, but.....

Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

If you need to use drops after, ask for the compounded ones, only one bottle to work with, not 3, a real pleasure.

Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

Be sure to ask your doctor about having dropless cataract surgery. I was thrilled that I didn't have to mess with multple drops a day afterwards. Same results, vision is perfect.

Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

@Shelbelle : Thanks for the information. I purchased the compound eye drops during visit to save making another trip because I can't drive.

@ID2 : Too late. Purchased compound drops on day of visit.  Wonderful news about your perfect vision.

Re: Update on cataract eye surgery

My doc does not do the dropless procedure,  so the compounded drops are the next best thing.  Had to pay $40 extra for them but so worth it.
