I think blood work for elevated liver enzymes is the best indicator.
Clay colored stools, liver pain, yellowing of the eyes, blue lips, dark urine are some symptoms I recall.

I took it once and my stomach was on fire. So Tumeric is not for me. I'm cautious with supplements.

Did nothing for my arthritis but it did bother my stomach.. One less thing to pay for!

my husband was looking into this and his doctor said it is a risk to anyone on a blood thinner which he was taking

I took turmeric for awhile but quit. Since my diet is naturally anti inflammatory and I take other antioxidants I didn't think turmeric was necessary anymore.

I cooked with it for a while, but I noticed that after I ate something that contained it, I always felt "bad" afterwards...
Can't pinpoint one particular thing, but just a feeling that my body was "rejecting" it.
