@Kitty Galore Very well could be. Look at it like when you bang yourself and have a bruise or soreness. It could take some time to subside and heal but ask your dentist if you have evidence of grinding, the wear will show on your teeth and also your restorations, if you have any. Good luck.

Thank you so much for they advice , sometimes knowing that it can take time takes Some of the worry away. It certainly makes sense. I'm not sure that is what's going on, but it sure could be. I will speak to my dentist about the grinding, in fact I have been asked about it by the hygentist at my last month at my cleaning . I don't feel I do but I do know I hold stress in my jaw when awake so could be. Thanks again!😸

Bit into a Belgium waffle filled with cherries (also TJ's) and heard a crack noise. I presumed it was a cherry pit and used Water pik, floss, etc,, to get it out. Nothing worked. Finally, after 3 days of pain whenever I ate I went to dentist. I was absolutely stunned when he said I had cracked the tooth (an upper molar). Said if I did it at an angle he could easily repair but if it was split down the middle it would have to come out. Well, of course, I had split it down the middle. So in 6 min less than an hour appointment I left minus my tooth. Go back in early March to discuss implant, bridge, etc,
I'm in my 80's, so am wondering if I need to do anything. Any suggestions???
