To test nerve

Doctor is sending me to a neurologist to see if I have any nerve damage. He wants me to have a electromyogram and a nerve conduction velocity test. I'm losing strength in both my hands and the bottom of feet hurt when I walk. I just thought it was my fibro but I have a new doctor and he says this is not normal for fibro, Have any of you had any of these test done? I would appreciate any replies. thanks
