After keeping my weight stable for about 8 years I gained 5 lbs back last year. I let some foods into my house that make me over eat. This may have involved York peppermint patties, Walker Shortbread, Skinny Pop, and Great Value Vanilla Bean ice cream......🤣🤣😩😩😤😤
I am working to get it off and struggling to do so. I swear I can gain at least a pound just
walking through a grocery store.......🙃🙃🙃
Got my exchanges lists out and trying to get back to basics, but it takes me a bit to get my appetite under control.

@4kitties : I totally agree and understand. I need easy information and easy meal plan and prep.

Thank you. Most kind of you. I try to walk an hour every day if possible. I can't do a lot of things because of health issues. Exercising is very good but never helped me with weight lost either.

I have really cut down my portions also. I guess I have a hard time with the fact that now that I am old I don't burn calories like I used to. Thanks for your post!

@AngelPuppy1 : Thank you. Wishing the best for you.
I have lower back problems and mobility issues. The best exercise equipment for me is the cubi Jr 2 and the my chair. I often get a good work out using the cubi while watching football with my DH.
Currently can't stand up for a long periods of time and really difficult to prep and prepare meals.I tried Nutrisystem and it was very expensive with little results and really didn't like the food.

@AngelPuppy1 - boy, after a certain age it really is a struggle isn't it? I think the important part is you being ready to change your eating habits. I dislike the word "diet" and prefer to call it a "lifestyle" change.
You really have to find the program that works for you and your body - everyone is different. I have never tried any of the ones mentioned but I did try the South Beach diet worked for me. It's real food that you cook and prepare at home. The recipes are good and I still cook them.
I will also mention in addition to portion size, try using smaller plates as well.
Wish you well - riley1

I joined Weight Watchers the early 2000's I faithfully went to to the meetings and lost close to 60 lbs. Then Covid happened and I broke both hips 2 years apart and took another 20 lbs or so. I went from over 200 to the 125 I am now. I eat a very limited diet and have managed to keep the weight off. Weight Watchers is real food and you are allowed all sorts of foods in moderation and as long as your track it.
