Re: The Lesser Chemo Treatments

Prayers for your daughter and family... all Chemo treatments are emotionally and physically challenging.  Everyone who has to go through Chemo treatments are courageous.  It's frightening and takes a toll no matter what level they are considered.

Re: The Lesser Chemo Treatments

Thank you so much for your responses and support. And Trinity, thanks for explaining that chemo, better than I could ever.  Sorry about your husband's cancer, I will pray for his healing.

Today I lost a sister, she was 97, and I will miss her.  I have one more left, and she is 98.

Re: The Lesser Chemo Treatments

@gloriajean --is this good news then? Even tho the treatments will go on for longer. But hurrah for no side effects-- except the fatigue---and that is just the normal way of all this---I still go thru periods of fatigue even after 13 years. Are they injected via a port? Wishing you all the best--give her a hug for me!!!

Re: The Lesser Chemo Treatments

wagirl, thanks for your post, and at the first Darla was told she will need the radiation, and that's done, and nine months of that kind of chemo, every three weeks, not a port, but she gets it in her hand.  So every 3 weeks she drives to a town about an hour away to get these injections for the nine months.  She's had 3 now so far.

I will give her a hug from you.

Praying for your daughter. It is not an easy road but when all treatments are done, this will be the end. Wishing you and your daughter the best.

Re: The Lesser Chemo Treatments

@gloriajean  I am glad to know your Daughter is doing well with chemo, fatique is normal for everyone who has chemo. She is lucky to have a strong, wonderful Mother that she can depend on... I will have you both in my prayers & eventually a full recovery. Heart

I just finished 6 wks of chemo & daily radiation. I am older so I was very fatiqued from both treatments. I had my first  immunotherapy last wk. I am grateful for no side effects. The women here are very supportive & kindhearted so do not hesitate to post. Heart

Re: The Lesser Chemo Treatments

@Kabella ----just wanted to congratulate you on finishing up your treatments!!! BRAVO 👍🏼🎉😀---I went thru breast cancer in 2012--had surgery, 5 months of chemo and then 33 days of radiation. Was declared cured by my oncologist in 2021 and am doing well . Still have  some lingering side effects, fatigue is one of them. But all in all---I am alive and kicking!! Best wishes to you.
