what have been your experiences - good, bad, etc.?
I have used all three. I was currently on Trulance for several months and it worked well but recently it decided to not work very well. I just went to my gastroenterologist and they suggested that I go back on Ibsrela to see if it would work any better. It is trial and error. Thanks for the posts. Realize this is not the most pleasant subject!

Do you have any medical conditions that cause constipation? I eat a huge amount of fresh fruit & vegetables. My BMs are very regular & easy to pass. Not that I'm bragging or anything.

I don't. I have had issues since I was a child. I have had many tests and nothing has shown. I eat well also. Fresh fruit and vegetables. Also, exercise regularly. No, I don't think you are bragging. Some people just apparently have better digestive systems than others!

Sending you good wishes! It's so awful to have a sluggish, blah digestive system. I heard that people experience that when they take the new weightloss drugs. I wouldn't take them.

Sorry you are going through this, but you need to get off the cycle of treating symptoms instead of the cause. I take a high quality probiotic every day and drink plenty of water. I eat a variety of fruits and veggies and oatmeal almost daily for breakfast. I don't know if you have any physical restrictions, but if not, you must move your body as much as possible. It is designed for it, and moving stimulates the muscles that "move" things along. I am regular daily and when I use my mini rebounder 15 min a day, it stimulates me to go again. Prescriptions have their place and at times are necessary, but they are out of control, used for every single little problem. Doctors unfortunatley are only trained in pharma drugs and not nutrition or getting to the cause of the problem.

I have IBS C. I tried all of the Rx drugs. Now i use miralax daily and have no problems. It's a lot cheaper than the prescription drugs. They did nothing for me.

Last year I had COVID, then Bronchitis. I was prescribed antibiotics, quite a bit. Of course, it affected me greatly. Went to a gastro doctor who prescribed a very strong drug. Was horrible. I decided to take matters in my hands with Lessman's Fibermucil, two capsules at night. And dare I say I have discovered prune juice, as well. Really helps! The good kind with no pulp - "Sunsweet Amazing Prune Juice." My diet alone wasn't working, but this combo works well for me.

@AngelPuppy1 My mother had chronic constipation and this was before any prescription drugs were available. IMO she did not drink enough liquids. For me whenever things "slow down" I eat 6 -8 prunes a day for several days and in a pinch take an Ex-Lax. I know constipation is uncomfortable to say the least.
Good luck in finding a solution.
