I meant to say congrats on your weight loss!  That is amazing!  I know that you worked hard to do that and it takes a lot of dedication to do this.  I once lost 65 lbs and I know how dificult it is!  I was always very thin my whole life.  Then when I hit about 45 a number of things happened. Of course my metobolism slowed down, I became quite ill and depressed, was on a lot of meds, and my body just ballooned up!  I have since gained the 20 lbs from overeating mostly sweets lately but am trying very hard now to remedy that!  Congratulations again!!!

Yes, I do fruits!  I know there is sugar there but a much better sugar.  I am just trying to get ride of all the junk sugar -- at least that's what I call it!  I am just going day by day.  Each day is a small success!

You probably have not done too much harm since you limited it to the holiday.  Sounds like you are very mindful of what you are eating and that's really the most important step.

Just like when people smoke or drink or whatever.  Some do cold turkey and some do gradual.  It seems once I taste chocolate or some other sugary thing, I just can't seem to stop at one or 2 pieces!  I know it's bad but I just do it any way!  You're right so right - we, of course, need food, but we don't need sugar.  We just crave it!

I understand what you're saying and I'm sure that eating the way you are doing is very helpful to your health issue.  I applaude you for taking charge and doing this.  It is not easy especialy when these foods are things which you enjoy so much.  It makes you wonder why we eat some of these things when we feel so lousy afterwards?

No, I don't suppose any true addiction is ever really cured.

I feel like that also.  One I start with the sugar, I am always wanting more -- never satisfied.  Right now, I don't feel as hungry for anything.  I am hoping this feeling will last.  I not only want to lose the weight but I want to feel better, too.!  Good for you for getting a grip before you gain very much!

You sound like you have a very healthy relationship with food in general and from the sound of it, you don't overdo it with any food or meals.  You are very in control and that's admirable!

Did it take you very long to not crave it any more?  I am wondering if I will ever really get that way.  Yes, I remember that --- I would never have thought that!
