Re: Started taking Chantix today...

DH and I are now 13 days smoke free!!!  So far, I can't believe how easy it has been. I absolutely think Chantix is a miracle drug.  We have both gained some weight...but we'll handle that too.  The weight gain is no mystery and I can't blame it on anything related to the quitting smoking process.  We started eating sweets and just have to stop it. Hopefully, by my next update I can report that I've lost a couple of pounds too.

If there is anyone reading this who really wants to stop smoking, try Chantix.  You still have to really want to quit, but it takes away the detox/withdrawal symptoms and makes the whole process so much easier.  I'm so happy that I am doing this.

Thank you for your continued support.  Have a wonderful day!

Trudey, I am SO happy for you!!!! You are right, if you REALLY want something, it is easier to do what it takes to acquire it.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Re: Started taking Chantix today...

@Melania  We haven't had any negative side effects.  I do have the vivid dreams, but I like that...no nightmares though.  The Chantix makes both of us feel very calm.  My DH says he has a craving sometimes, but it goes away quickly.  I haven't had a single craving.  It has truly been amazing.  We plan to take it for a month and a half and that's it...we will be on our on Smiley Happy

That is wonderful!! You two rock!!

I have a family member who still smokes and will pass on your good results to encourage them to hopefully take that step to stop.
