Going on my second round of the meds. The skull feels much better. but the symptoms not gone yet. Another week of meds and no side effects.

I have a friend who missed a month of work because she had shingles at age 32. I had always thought of shingles as just a disease of old people. The only time I ever recall seeing my grandma cry was because of the terrible pain when she had shingles. I was very diligent about getting the shingles vaccines.

I finished my second round of the meds and much better.
I did get the vaccines (2) of the latest in 2019, and still got shingles.
I was told you can still get shingles though you had been vaccinated, just not as painful. Well, I was in pain, but able to function.
The headaches were bad. Pain free now and it's been four days since I finished the anti viral meds.
Yesterday, received my 7th Covid vaccine. No reaction from it and none that I received.
I have now completed every vaccine that we old people are advised to receive.

iIn fact, it was dyed the day before Seeing the Dr. I mentioned it to her through Email, but she couldn't get me in for a visit. So, I've had it for awhile.
We thought it was from a bad neck, but yesterday the Dr. thinks its shingles.
Will take the tablet in the morning. It is a huge tablet. Twice a day.
Thank you everyone for your replies. It's been a big help.
How long? Shingles does not normally last unabated for a very long time. You need to see a doctor someplace who will diagnosis it and get you to someone who cares about your welfare. Shingles is dangerous, can cause severe nerve damage and other complications such as pneumonia. Any doctor denying to see you for more than a day is suspect in my book. Find a doctor who will see you soon when you have shingles, even if you find yourself at the Urgent Care or ER doctor. Don't ever let something like that linger because some demi god doctor says they can't see you.
