Re: Second Biopsy, The Charm

Great news - you must be so relieved. There is nothing like hearing 'negative' after a biopsy. So happy for you.

Re: Second Biopsy, The Charm

I'm so happy for the good news, Vivian!{#emotions_dlg.wub}

I've learned a lot as I've collected scars over the past few years.

There's an anonymous quote that says "Never be ashamed of a scar. It simply means you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you."

Scars are evidence of courageous survival.

When the Japanese mend broken objects, they actually magnify the damage by filling the cracks with gold. (The technique is known as "Kintsugi.") They believe that when something’s suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful.

It's a lovely practice, wonderful philosophy, and something I want to embrace as I age.
