@SeaMaiden if you're referring to my diarrhea, yeah..probably spelt wrong but was just too lazy to look it up.  My issue is constipation so I sure do know how to spell that!  Methane and hydrogen are correct.

SIBO won't go away on it's own and needs to be treated. Changing diet and/or antibiotics are common treatment(s) for the condition. There is such a thing called a 'SIBO diet'.

SilleeMee is correct, the diet is called Low Fodmap.  These are foods that will not sit and ferment in the small intestine causing the issue.

SIBO also slows motility (time it takes from eating to evacuation) which causes the food to just sit, sometimes days and days on end to ferment.  Methane version also causes weight gain as the food sits, your system takes in every calorie available whereas someone that evacuates quickly, your body does not absorb as many calories as it's a quick in and out.

There are many facebook groups that are great.  Shivan has one.. it has the name of the issues and SOS  (don't know if I can post the name but can figure it out)

My doctor follows Dr. Siebecker's  protocol.
