@allaries  Diabetes is an autoimmune disease. Once you have one, you are more susceptible to having a variety of others. 

 

I now have several different autoimmune diseases. First one was diagnosed at birth. Second one was diagnosed about age 50. From there it was another one every five years for a while before settling down.

 

At 70, I finally began feeling "good" (for me) after years of trying various combinations of meds (which made me worse).

 

Three years later, the cocktail of meds are still working and I hope to stay "as is" for a very long time. It's doable! 

 

My point is: sometimes it takes years to resolve the problems within your body. Be patient and keep working with your physicians.
