I may have Restless Leg Syndrome but am not sure. I've looked up the symptoms and still can't tell. When I'm in bed at night my knees will start feeling funny. That's about the only way I can explain it. It's like there's something going on--not with the bones. I can't go back to sleep with them feeling like that. I usually get up and walk around for a while and then go back to bed.
I don't sleep well anyway, and this makes it much worse. Is this Restless Leg Syndrome? Does this happen to anyone else? What can I do for it, if anything.

I'm not sure if yours is restless legs or not. But for my restless legs....I can be sitting watching TV and suddently I just can't sit still because of the feeling of restlessness in my legs. Occasionally I experience that at night. Something that often helps me is available on Amazon. It's by Hyland and it's called Hyland Resftul Legs. It seems to work for me....hope that continues. Good luck.

For me, it's like a 'physical anxiety'. I cannot keep my legs (I mostly get it in my right leg and right arm, for some reason) still for more than a couple of seconds.
When I get it, I usually get it for either the whole night or 2/3 of the night, so it's massively frustrating. I don't sleep well anyway and when I can't get any sleep I have a lot of trouble with lung function the next day.
I started taking magnesium and folic acid after dinner, a couple of years ago. I also eat a handful of almonds each day - well, most days.
This has helped quite a bit for me but sometimes it still happens. I know it's not for everybody, but weed is legal here now and that does a LOT for both my physical and mental anxiety problems.
I'm so bad at sleeping, because of my childhood of never feeling safe and often especially at night, so my body has carried that conditioning all these years. I was sleeping in 5-10 minute increments with plenty of awake time. Now I sometimes actually crash for two hours at a time! That's just beyond anything I could have imagined. I don't use it at night but just doing a little bit during some days seems to carry me through with whatever is left in my system from it.
RLS is just worse than being in pain. I'd much rather have pain (which I also do every day anyway) than restless leg because at least you can often find a comfortable position and fall off to sleep some. With the restless thing you cannot stay still for more than a few seconds. For hours - it's miserable!
I hope you find a way to get relief, as I know how frustrating this is! ![]()

A bar of soap under the bottom sheet helps me. Any brand, it works. My mom also uses it. Her podiatrist told her about it years ago. Here's a video on you tube about it.

That's great! I just looked this up and one thing that I noticed was that you have to take so much of it. Do you take it as directed (2-3 tabs six times a day)?
I'm not familiar with the ingredients but will educate myself. ![]()

@Krimpette Yes, it's like a feeling of restlessness in my legs, but they aren't moving. I do move them and my toes a lot during the day but don't think they're related. I'll look up the Hyland Restful Legs on Amazon. Supplements don't usually do much for me though.

@chickenbutt Yours sounds much worse than mine. I don't think they're the same thing. I'm sorry that yours is so bad and you have such sleepless nights. I'm glad you've found a way to get some relief with the weed. It's not legal here, or I would use it for my disc problems in my back.
I don't think this is Restless Leg, but my toes move all the time and my legs, particularly my right leg, moves all the time, too. I have to really concentrate to keep them from moving. I've tried to search for answers for that, too, and can't figure it out.

I actually tried that once and it didn't help me at all. I was bummed. I figure maybe you must have to believe really hard for it to work. ![]()

@chickenbutt For me, I only take two tablets when the restless legs occur. That's all I seem to need. Not sure about their recommended dosage.....maybe that's something that can be done to prevent them completely. I didn't choose to do any more than "as needed".

I've had restless leg for years, too. It is horrible!
For me, it's not actual pain but the need to keep moving my leg to get relief. It only happens at night.
As we know, everyone is different. My fixes .... I found a tube of stuff at Dollar General a long time ago I used and it helped me settle down to sleep called "Arthritis Hot". I don't even know if you can still buy it. I rubbed it into the entire leg from toes to hip.
But I finally found something that works really good for me after taking barr classes... "calf raises". Always prefer a natural fix when possible.
I found calf raises work wonders. I usually get up and do 20 or 30 calf raises, then no more restless leg for that night.
