That wasn't her question...

Yes, but that was my suggestion. Most home exercise equipment ends up sitting garage unused.

Yup, I guess you're right. Now that I think of it....I have exercise equipment in my basement...and it's only gently used. Good point.

Re: Recumbert Exercise Bike

[ Edited ]

@mare54   I had a Schwinn 270 for several years and loved it.  I had planter faciitus to bad, I couldn't stand for long periods or go outside for long walks and figured a recumbent bike would work for me to get some exercise.  I loved it, but finally got surgery, so I've graduated to a Schwinn treadmill.  I recently sold mine to a friend of mine who is having hip surgery and it will help with his recovery.

You may have to build it if you buy it online.  It's not a problem since the instructions were good, but keep that in mind if you order one.

If you have a sporting good store, I would go try it out.  Hands down much better then an exercise bike, especially if you carry a little more weight then others - nice big comfortable seat!!

And that person who doesn't use equipment right there in her home is going to make the effort to drive to the gym?

My treadmill and reclining bike get used regularly.  I bought them when Covid closed the gym and have never looked back.  Time saved driving back and forth.

Nope. I have a home gym with an elliptical and a treadmill. Have had this equipment for over 10 years and still use them daily.

My advice is to get a high qulity one from a fitness equipment store, not from a TV channel. Ours cost well over 1000 but very well worth it, ours is a brand called Horizon.

Let's take it one step further.  I want one I can use while sleeping.

I don't have a recumbent bike but have a Exerpeutic Exercise Bike that I purchased from the Q about 10 years ago, I wanted a simple bike without all the bells and whistles that I can keep in a room without taking up too much space, this bike serves its purpose, I use it daily and I pedal while watching TV.
