I am so sick of this rash. I believe I was allergic to a new dusting powder I purchased from the Vermont Country Store. Because where the rash is appearing is where I applied the powder. However, not everywhere. I used zinc oxide on it, took Benadryl, anti-itch cream because sometimes it itches and not everywhere. It is completely strange. However it is going on 3 weeks having this. I wonder because I inject a drug to suppress my immune system is stopping me from healing faster. I sent my dr. an email so I will probably hear something back on Mon or Tues. asking her if she needs to see me or would she directly send me to a Dermatologist? I am so sick of the itching and having to apply the zinc oxide. Oh, I also medicated baby powder with zinc oxide. Have you ever had a rash that sounds like this that is difficult to treat?
@Katcat1 I had a rash for over three years. I am not sure how long I had it before I discovered it, because it was on my back.
I did not have any itch so that part was good. Saw a Dermatologist, They did a biopsy and blood work and nothing showed. They started me on Steroids (which was awful) but it took the rash away.
It came back and again and so another round of steroids. Then a third time and the last time I saw her, she said you are most likely having this from stress. (my hubby was very sick at the time) It took 3 years to get rid of it completely. My Dr. had me use a cream with the steroid called Sarna. You can buy Sarna anywhere. It is really good for itch. Long story---It went away after my hubby passed away.
She was baffled that it never itched. Rashes are hard to diagnose sometimes. Have you used any new soap, new laundry detergent, new clothing, and any new meds. If you have tried all that see a Dermatologist. Don't mess with GP's. Mine did burn at times which the Sarna helped with that. Mine also looked like blisters. In a year it covered my whole body except my face, and hands and feet. Good Luck! Hope you get some answers.
