Re: Radiofrequency Ablation In My Back Yesterday

@NickNack wrote:

I have had lots of back pain for 15 years or so.  Yesterday I had radiofrequency ablation done on my right side.  In a couple of weeks I will have the left side done.  I really wasn't sure what to expect.  The nurse practitioner told me I would be in pain for about a week.

My appt. was at 1:00 yesterday, and I was really painful the rest of the day.  I went to bed at 7:00 and slept until 6:00 this morning.  Today it is so much better.  It's still painful, but I have hopes that it will be better in a few days.  I'm just hoping for a full or almost full recovery from the daily back pain.  Has anyone had this done?  What was your experience with it?

I've had them done in my neck.

They did work for me, but the length of pain relief varied.

I would have the ablation done on all of my neck joints, on both sides of my neck, one side done at a time, several weeks apart.

The least amount of relief that I received was probably just a few months' time, and the most relief that I received was probably about a year and a half.

@Kachina624   I'm really sorry the procedures didn't help you.

@NickNack.  Thanks, I'm really limited in what I can do and where I can go.
