Well, well, well.   Looks like @PixieStar  has morphed from @Susan Louise

Same writing style and pushing the same carnivore diet and Youtube videos.  Nice try.

@CoffeeNut I was wondering about that I knew we heard this all before

@HeatherAngel  Im not sure how one gets their hands on pepetides or which ones are for weight loss. I'd love to know though. I do know Nobody's going to a dr for peptides. They are completely ignorant on the topic if its not about Big Pharma.

The only way I can lose weight is to go KETO eating. I follow the KETO Twins on you tube. They share recipes that are fairly easy to make.

There is good video by The Nerve on youtube about GLP-1's . Its Michaels and the channel found Maureen Callahan. It's a very informative watch. Its called The Age of Ozempic, Its Hidden Side Effects, and How to Navigate Holiday Eating, w/ Jillian Michaels

Comments such as just above by  @THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes and @CoffeeNut are why more diverse and perhaps interesting people choose not to interact here.
There seem to be a lot of metabolically ill people, who post here asking for suggestions, but God forbid that more than one of us genuinely care for others and wish to see their health improve, that we happen to eat close to the same weird-to-YOU way, and thrive on it, and that we mention some of the same popular people on YouTube.. Oh the horror!  A conspiracy is in our midst! Ridiculous!

I have recommended Dr Berry (from Tennessee) and Dr Tony Hampton (from Chicago) and Dr Eric Westman (Duke University, NC) here before, and a few others, because I think their presentation styles provide easy to understand information. Who cares if Pixie Star or Susan Louise mention them as well?

Are you scared someone here might actually look up one of these people and dare to have a listen?   I am well aware that most people here don't really want to get better--they just want a place to vent. But if this post by me, prompted by my annoyance at you two, helps one person, yay!!!

@SHOPR   Hear, hear...so well said.

It's hard for me to wrap my head around those that think the carnivore lifestyle is odd. They refuse to open their eyes and realize we have been eating meat for as long as we have been breathing air and drinking water.

For many of them, they are so defensive, you'd think we were going to their home to take away their Ding Dongs, Twinkies and/or whatever their own personal kryptonite is.

I remember how difficult it was for me to give up the coffee creamers and oatmeal.

The sad part is, everyone has to find their own health journey to wellness. Some folks finally reach a point they don't want to get any sicker. Some folks don't want to take anymore medications.

Others are the opposite...

They would rather take more medications then give up their treats or change the way they eat.

I personally knew folks who were type 2 diabetics. They took a LOT of insulin shots daily and would rather keep taking more and more insulin than give up bread, sweets, pasta, etc...their own personal DOC.

For anyone who doesn't believe sugar/s are a drug, those are the folks who can't stop. It is also hard to believe how many folks don't realize that ALL carbs turn into sugar in the body. For example, they don't think potatoes, bread, pasta, etc are bad because they are not sugar.

But they turn to sugar when the body processes them. I've tried to explain this to folks we know and they either refuse to believe it or just don't care.

They haven't learned about how the body functions - literally, basic human physiology.

I learned in 3rd grade about carbs and how they ALL turn to sugar in the body. However, it wasn't until DH & I changed our lifestyle that we learned about what happens in our body when we ingest the carbs/sugar/s and even seed oils.

That was over 7 years ago now...I was 58...58! Good grief...

Better late than never.

I'm grateful we finally woke up and stopped ingesting all the 'stuff' that was keeping us sick.

The same is true for those that smoke. A few happily admit they will be smoking on their death bed before they give up cigarettes.

Yes, everyone is a grown adult and makes their own choices. Even so, it is still hard to watch those who won't even try and help themselves.

It is 'almost' funny that folks think DH and I are going to reach our grave faster eating the carnivore lifestyle. Nobody batted an eye when we were eating cakes, pies, cookies, pasta and the sugar bombs of today...fruits.

Everyone keeps getting sicker and sicker but they can't add 2 + 2 as to the why...or refuse to take off their rose-colored glasses. The % of children nowadays that are developing fatty liver disease and becoming insulin resistant is growing daily.

I've tried so many times on these forums to help others. Like the old saying my grandfather used to tell me...'You can lead a horse to water...'

And yet the thought of eating mainly meat horrifies them...

Mind boggling. Big Food/Big Pharma have done their job convincing folks to go by the upside down food pyramid to keep everyone sick for profit.

Eat the rainbow...

Moderation is the key...

Just some of the sayings Big Food/Big Pharma started!

Moderation is the key...LOL...SMH.

How many folks think that will work for anyone with an addiction?

A smoker can still have cigarettes once in awhile?

An alcoholic can still drink occasionally?

A carb/sugar addict that is metobolically sick can still have their cake and eat it too?

Folks will either wake up on their own time to this or they won't...

Most folks refuse to believe they are addicted to carbs/sugars until they actually try and give them up themselves.

I became a carb/sugar addict myself. Giving up my DOC was painfully hard in the beginning of the process of weaning myself from the insanity. The hardest for me was coffee creamers and oatmeal.

Quitting smoking cigarettes (for me) was easy in comparison. I was able to stop smoking cold turkey after 33 years (from age 11-44). However, I could not stop ingesting carbs/sugars cold turkey...I had to wean myself from them! If that isn't insanity, HOW strong an addiction to sugar/carbs can be, I don't know what is...LOL

So, there is no doubt in my mind that sugars/carbs are no different than cocaine - that lights up the pleasure center of the brain exactly the same. There have been many studies which also show mice will choose sugar water over cocaine!

Folks can also dismiss Dr Ken Berry, Dr Anthony Chaffee, Dr Eric Westman and Dr Shawn Baker and Dr Jason Fung, etc all they like...

As for us...

Welp, Youtube University helped DH and I get our health back, get off all our meds and feel 20-30 years younger.

The only thing we are missing is our diploma...  Smiley Very Happy

@Susan Louise - Moments ago called HSN for a size 8 exchange size 6 #884-851 I'm in awe of how wonderful my body feels and looks. Fun buying new clothes. My Doctor totally on board with carnivore she's not a quack either. Doctor Atkins was ridiculed until scientific research proved him right. Pay no attention with naysayers. Let them eat cake! 🤩

@PixieStar   Good for you on your weight loss! I agree about buying clothes now...lots of fun!

Most of my life I was a size 8 until 2004 when my health started to tank and began gaining a LOT of weight...went up to a 2X/3X...oy.

Then in 2018 we changed our lifestyle and never looked back. I now fit into mainly size 6/small with a few size 4/xsmall depending on the brand/garment..

I've posted pics of myself back in 1995 and a few years ago too. I won't post a pic of me at my heaviest though.

'Let them eat cake'...LOL...IK, right?  Smiley Very Happy
