Doctor just prescribed pill for me, but he told me to take half. Tried cutting with knife but not working out too good. Does anyone use a pill cutter and can recommend one. Thank you

Just go to your drug store, perhaps Walgreens. They sell pill cutters. If not ask the pharmacist where to get on. They work.

I have a couple of them.  Just the ones they sell at Walmart.  They work great.  I just make sure I keep the blade clean and dry after each use so it stays sharp.

Check out Amazon:   They have pill cutters for every need...large pills, small pills, cutter that does multiple at one time...etc.

@joann1218, all pill cutters are pretty much the same and can be found in all drug stores, Targets, Walmarts and even many larger grocery stores. They're very easy to use. I think if you have any questions about using one a pharmacist could help you decide.

I've tried several pill cutters trying to find one that cuts cleanly and evenly but have had bad luck.  I think some pills are crumbly and just not suitable for splitting.

Buy and try try one but keep the packaging for return in case it doesn't work out.

We have a few of them as well, they all work as designed, much better than trying to cut them with a knife.

Just NO.  That is an inaccurate way to write a prescription.  Go back and ask for the correct dosage.  I have been up and down the dose for a couple of drugs, cutting in half, nope.

Sometimes drugs are difficult to get in various doses. (Some drugs can be difficult to get in any dose.) It also saves on a co-pay to get a higher dose and splitting into two doses. Cutting pills is not a difficult task.

I bought mine at my local small drugstore.
