@Kachina624 - That's a shame.  This particular pill cutter worked for me on them, when others didn't.

My pharmacist always gives me one if I ask.

I bought one of these pill splitters from Amazon. It cuts them precisely down the middle and I can do multiples at a time quickly.

I have 2 pills  that I must split in half.  I do not use a pill cutter.  I have found that if the pill is softer, break it on the crease side.  If it is a harder pill break it on the side not showing the crease.  I have one of each, one softer and one harder.  Works perfect for me every time.

Yes, I have to cut a pill for my furry. I use one from the drug store - inexpensive and works fine. Every drug store sells them, as does WalMart and Amazon.

Doctor just prescribed pill for me, but he told me to take half. Tried cutting with knife but not working out too good. Does anyone use a pill cutter and can recommend one. Thank you

They usually don't work well. Try cuticle cutters.....really! Wash very well, dry. They work great.

I thought I liked my pill cutter, but this is so much better!

I have used a pill cutter for years.  You don't need recommendations.  They are incredibly inexpensive.  If the pill to want to cut is small just make sure, the one you choose will work for small pills.  I don't know where I bought mine because it's been so long but Amazon has one that looks just like it.  Ezy pill cutter and splitter.  It's $3.49.

@Kachina624 - Amlodapine is the pill that the vet prescribed for our cat!  The human pill was so much cheaper than the animal pill, that she told us to get it filled at Walmart and split it!  That's when she told me about the Equidose.

@Venezia.  Those pills are brittle and tend to crumble into bits and pieces when cut.  I wasted many of them.

I use the pill cutter for amlodipine and I haven't found that to be true at all.  My pill cutter splits and the pill doesn't break or crumble.
