i had something happen to me last night. i had some panic attacks maybe 15 years ago when i purchased a condo on my own.
anyway - FF to now i had a cortisone shot thursday to alleviate back pain. the doctor injected two medications in my lower back. i took a flexeril that night .
friday i morning i noticed some serious discomfort in my tailbone area. it got worse and i had already taken some vicodin and i was watching a movie "Still Alice". i took 1/2 a flexeril.
suddenly as i watched this movie and they were talking about brain activities and medical terms, i felt like the walls were closing in, i started seeing stars, could not breathe. i was in a recliner and i felt like i was falling backwards.
i felt so freaked out, i had to get away!!! got up from the chair wanting to lie on the cold floor and went to grab a big paper bag. instead i just fell and laid there on my back sort of moaning for a while. then i managed to crawl over, get the paper bag and breathe into it..
after a while i was ok and went to run my wrists under water. i was so shaken and my face was white as a sheet.
i think it was the combo of meds and the subject matter of the moviw becuase my Dad had ALZ.
scary feeling

Great, insightful advice Karnerblue. Wish I had thought of that.
